I basically agree.

There's a distinction that can be drawn between one who is an aspirant and one who has realized. The aspirant aspires to continuous unconditional love. The one who has realized experiences nothing but unconditional love.

I'll answer the question for myself: the ego can be conceptualized approximately as a cocoon or a veil if you like. It's something that is necessary and useful at one stage. But when it's time is over, the "butterfly" "breaks out" to live what it has become.
As a Cultivator of buddha dhamma a part of the path is to let go fully of ego/self :)

St Paul commented on this:
12For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. 14But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil." Heb. 5.
Does it mean you think it is more difficult for children to gain inner wisdom then it is for adults?

When it comes to living a spiritual life, What does it take to truly call oneself a spiritual being?
What is needed to gain inner wisdom from a spiritual path in your understanding?

There is no spiritual reality, so I am not sure what you are asking.

How many have totally succeeded in doing that?
All of those who have become enlighten from the cultivation, and actually to let go of self is not to difficult. What is difficult is to talk about own experience because one is "forced" to use the I word in writing.

Not really if a child has meaningful purpose and understanding, it may be easier for a child from t'echnical' point of view.
Yes because they have very few attachments in life yet. but adults have many attachments they first must let go of

Why do you say there is no spiritual reality?

Because everything, including our mind, is physical.
Easy to test: ingest 20 Absolute Vodka shot and tell me how the “not physical” mind react.

Since I do not drink alcohol, I think I would be dead if I tried 20 shots of vodka :) And if i was to have any alcohol in my body I would not be able to meditate, so sorry but I cannot do that test :)

IMO, it's a matter of whether one believes being human is more than a material, physical entity.

Whether one believes we are actual spiritual beings or not, I don't think it changes a person's life much. Whether we choose to believe in a spirit or not, we can still pursue the same goals for ourselves. We just go about it with different concepts in mind.

What is the goal of spirituality? To be a better person? To live a better life? To be happy?

Certainly, the more spiritual means less worldly. More worldly means less spiritual. We cannot be spiritual and worldly at the same time. We cannot love money, lust and sex, wealth and power and fame, and at the same time be spiritual!

I would think there is a different goal in different paths, but for me as a cultivation Buddhist, end of samsara (rebirth cycle) could be said to be a goal

Ok, so how does this affect your life right now? Is there something about your life that is different than someone who does not believe in rebirth?

The difference is that I cultivate Buddhism every day, it means I must watch everything I say do and think, to not create suffering for my self or others. There are 6-8 hours of study dhamma every day and meditation every day, and on top of this, I take care of my fianceè because of her health issues.

But one doesn't need to believe in re-birth to be a Buddhist. Right action, right thought doesn't need rebirth. IMO not creating suffering for yourself or others is a very practical approach for this life regardless of whether there is an afterlife or not.

If your are only a Buddhist for the sake of rebirth I suspect you may not see how practical Buddhism in this current life. I understand that you may believe something different but I don't how that would necessarily change you life in any substantial way.

You could be making the same choices, accepting the same responsibilities whether you believe in rebirth or not. You could still study dhamma you could still meditate. IMO this all provides insight to the relationship between the conscious and unconscious mind.

Rebirth is a result of not becoming enlighten in this lifetime or previous lifes. so to end suffering the only option is to reach enlightenment and that will end the rebirth cycle. What other things in this world are not something of interest to me at this stage.
The 8 folded path is the path out of suffering and to understand and follow the 5, 8 or 10 precepts
