Russian collusion, the thing Democrats said required an investigation, and would be proven, has been proven to not have existed.
No matter, they have a new drum to beat, obstruction of justice.
As an American citizen, I demand that they begin impeachment proceedings immediately if they have discovered crimes that rise to the impeachment standard in the Constitution, it is their duty.
Though I strongly hope they will, I strongly doubt they will.
Democrats in congress wear lenses that only function in one way, seeing political advantage. They don´t see things in the moral, or duty wavelengths.
They know impeachment will be a political disaster for them, and cannot succeed in removing the President from office. They know that if they proceed with impeachment they will lose numerous seats now held by Democrats in Trump states. They know the backlash will do nothing but hurt them.
So, they accuse with no follow through. Pelosi says the President is guilty of a criminal coverup, but does nothing about it. The obvious strategy is to do nothing but be outraged, and use nothing but harassment techniques.
During Muellers investigation, they were very disappointed that executive privilege was not invoked one time by Trump.
So, now it has been, in response to the Mueller redux, so they can fight that.
The problem for them is that every poll taken shows the people have lost interest in this, and they are tired of it. Plus, they are getting angrier and angrier that huge amounts of energy are being expended, with no problems being addressed.
The Democrats will lose with their new strategy, as well as with impeachment.
