I can say that when a kid dies of cancer, experiential evidence says they cannot. But maybe that was because the person I made a deal to come back as a ghost with "went" somewhere other than "heaven." :)

Frank...ghosts are not the spirits of dead people. There is nothing that leaves the body at death except the air in their lungs. (Psalm 115:17; Psalm 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10)

Ghosts are demons impersonating dead people to perpetuate the first lie that the devil told in Eden..."you surely will not die". God says we die.....but he promises that we will sleep peacefully in our graves until it is time for Jesus to call us out of them. The Bible teaches resurrection, not immortality of the soul.

"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." (John 5:28-29; Job 14:13; Isaiah 25:8) This speaks of a future time where ALL in their graves will be called out of them....the good and the bad. (Acts 24:15) The good ones will gain life, whereas the bad will be under a period of judgment. They will be given opportunity to bring their thoughts and action into line with God's requirements....many had never had an opportunity to hear about God or his Christ. .

Were in the scripture.Does it say they can't?I posted some passages awhile ago that implies maybe.
Deuteronomy 18:10-13 ESV / 104 helpful votes
There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead,

Leviticus 19:31 English Standard Version (ESV)
31 A)" “Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.

There are many more, but basically it say the same thing.

The reason is because there are "familiar spirits" that can disguise themselves in the voice of your loved one and lead people astray. .

Additionally, it says "Seek (and inquire) the Lord with all of your heart" and not "seek your loved one".

Hi.

So fallen angels can go from heaven to Earth, but humans can't?

Basically, yes, but I wonder if after the resurrection if even fallen angels are allowed in Heaven now. There isn't anything in the NT that suggests that they can after Jesus sanctified the utensils of worship in Heaven.

Now that I understand scripture is of greater value to @Frank Goad than experiential evidence, I will bow out of any further participation in subsequent queries.:)

Ghosts are emotional remnants from the past, imprinted upon a location due to unresolved trauma and unfinished business. So, assuming the child went to heaven (can't get into heaven with any baggage), then there will be no ghost of them on this plane.

Now, if you were to channel said dead child, that's a different method of communication, usually done through a medium.

I think they can and do return but more in a physically invisible form than a ghost form. Ghosts have more earth baggage going on.
