Yeah, I don't think that's a thread you Trumpettes wanna pull too hard.

Trumps not trying to introduce climate change legislature.

Don't ya think a person who is introducing a bill to stop climate change should at least have a basic enough understanding to distinguish between weather and climate?

For those who don't know AOC recently released the new green deal to tackle climate change. But apparently she doesn't even know the difference between weather and climate. :tearsofjoy:

Here's the story.

Well Al Gore clearly you can hand your crown over to AOC. She's got this climate change thang ya'll!

Are you familiar with the Montreal Protocol? Apparently China has been releasing CFC 11 at startling rates and undone all the work of the rest of the world since 1987.

She is 100% correct. Extreme weather events increase in intensity due to global warming. One of the major ways climate impacts the weather.

She knows science and you don't apparently

I suppose she knows more than the meteorologists too?

Depends on the meteorologist. I have provided the link showing the science demonstrating her claims. If the meteorologist denies that science, then yes, she is more right.
Strange. I would figure it be the other way around.

Meteorologists are not experts in climate change and don't always understand how it drives the extreme weather events like this one.
Uhhhmm.....
No, @sayak83 is correct. As was Representative Ocasio-Cortez.

As for the TV personality meteorologists.....Uhhhmm.....
Why Don't TV Meteorologists Believe in Climate Change?

Luckily, that report is rather old (2012), and many more meteorologists (especially the celebrity version) are recognizing their former errors. :)

Ahem

There was tornados, and other extreme weather......well before humanity even existed to inflict climate change.

I haven't denied that climate change increases extreme weather. Neither has the weather man with a PhD.

But extreme weather exist with or without climate change.

That's the difference. And anybody who thinks differently is just another AOC pretend champion of science.

Nobody claimed that extreme weather did not exist prior to human instigated climate change. Certainly Ms. Ocasio-Cortez did not suggest that.
The statements from her, as quoted in the OP make it clear that she knows this.

She correctly states the linkage between GW and the increase in frequency as well as intensity of such extreme weather events. This is in agreement with all the climatology PhDs. Because that is who she is referencing. :)

But you knew that, right? :)

Nobody claimed that extreme weather did not exist prior to human instigated climate change.

People who don't know the difference between weather and climate do.

Certainly Ms. Ocasio-Cortez did not suggest that.

You might want to tell her that then.

She correctly states the linkage between GW and the increase in frequency as well as intensity of such extreme weather events.

Never suggested she didn't. Nice attempt at a strawman though.

Read your own OP. She clearly said that the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events are rising due to global warming. That is 100% correct. Not a single thing wrong there at all.

Point out the sentence in her quote which you believe is false. I can't find it.
