Who understands and can explain the meaning of Romans 9:3-4?

Jeremiah Ames

Romans 9:3-4 states:
3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants,and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
Go on to read 6 and 7.
A lot of light is shed there for those who wish to see.

Number 6 is incredibly valuable. Notice that Israel is used twice.

Similar to Luke 9:60. Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God." Notice the word dead used twice?

You still did not answer my question. If you want to know my position, read the Greek texts. Start with Matthew 15:24
I have read them. I am a former Christian. Is there any reason why you can't just tell us what your beliefs are?

Because you have an agenda, by using phrases like 'people who claim to be Jews' and going on about the UN and the State of Israel, I want to know what is in your mind. You seem to believe that the Jewish people are somehow not the Jewish people, and I'm not kowtowing to these rubbish ideas. Tell me from which position you come.

I expect to hear the word 'Khazar' thrown out there pretty soon.

Read the bible and you'll find out. I already pointed out the relevant scriptures to you. @Wandering Monk probably knows. Ask him. But just to clarify. Beliefs are not truth. But if I were to say what I believe in, I would say it is the truth. And what is the truth? Psalms 119:142

If you're just here to preach to us, you won't be here for very long. I am not interested in reading your scriptures. What are your beliefs? Is it so difficult to put it into a few paragraphs?

Joseph Smith said it was,

3 For once I could have wished that myself were accursed from Christ,
for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
And WHO are the Israelites today? And what were the promises?

Yeah, I think we all need to get familiar with the passage that first describes the New Covenant and its better promises: Jeremiah 31 thru 34.
