A soul's departure.

Years ago I saw a segment I believe on 60 Minutes about a culture who had a collective religious belief that a soul will chose when and how to leave their human form. This belief is so strong that they do not interfere by coming to the aid of people in situations where they could die. They do not believe in interfering with that souls choice of time and circumstance to leave.
PLEASE someone tell me what religion this is. It's been years of trying to find out.
Thank you!

According to Scripture, death is the last ENEMY to be destroyed. Death is an enemy! Why is it the last enemy to be destroyed? Because after death is concurred there will be no one left to save from it. Jesus' work will have been completed and he will surrender the kingdom back to God.

When a soul departs, the life departs, and the man or woman is dead. If they weren't saved before they died, then they never will be saved.

It's not necessarily a religion. I had a friend in her 80's who was no longer able to do volunteer work with sick children and decided to die. She did in fact die after not too long a time.

Faith is a necessary ingredient to be saved from death. Paul was a man of faith who knew that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. So, it was Paul's desire to die and be with Christ, but he believed he could still be of some good to others while he was still alive.
