I might say Conservatives want a do nothing, puppet government with a strong police force and strong military so they can rule by wealth and might in total secrecy. 'Peace through strength' is the Conservative motto. Rule with an iron hand. No economic regulation. No social programs for the disabled, poor, and elderly. Just let them die in the streets i suppose.
The terrible conditions where the right is in power is utterly underreported - rampant drug abuse, crime, people dying in droves for lack of health care, poverty, hunger, spreading disease and the like. Pretty soon they'll be burying people in mass graves. The horror is utterly sad.
Meanwhile in the real world and not a fantasy world, CA is gaining in the number of educated people as the horror unleashed by the right causes people with a future who can leave to leave.
By the way, I'm not saying that there are no problems and that everyone on the left is a wonderful person, but given the degenerate in the White House, the right wing losers in Congress etc and the mess in poor right-wing governed states, to go on a trumpian-style rant about the left is laughable. And sad.
Cite for that? I don't see anything but a bill introduced at the end of last year.
By the way, I live in close enough proximity to SF to have a good idea about what is going on there. A tremendous problem we have is success - so much money is being made that the cost of living has escalated making it very difficult for people who are making a decent, if modest, living to find affordable housing.
