In 2 Timothy 1:10 it says Jesus brought life and immortality to life through the gospel. How does this go with luke 16:19-31?I am confused. Please explain.

I think the real question i am asking is whenever Jesus used a parable to talk to people.Did it always match 2 Timothy 1:10?
2 Timothy 1:10 NWT
"but now it has been made clearly evident through the manifestation of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and has shed light on life and incorruption through the good news".
What have parables got to do with this scripture? Can you be more specific? The word in Greek means incorruption, not immortality.
Sorry.I'm using the NRSV version of the bible.
