I wish I was born into a more sci fi styled universe!

I was raised Roman Catholic but over time me and this religion have fallen apart. I live in an very liberal place in North America! Perhaps culture makes you more liberal or conservative.

I wish I was born into an better universe created by a more compassionate empathetic liberal creator! I wish humanity's ultimate destiny is to become an interstellar civilization and master virtual reality as well as coexisting with AI rather than being enslaved by an anti Christ and have an apocalyptic final battle then rescued by the creator. That sounds like some silly fantasy novel.

I wish I was born in an universe where the creator does not throw people into pools of fire.

However if I die and I am asked if I accept Jesus Christ as my savior I would say yes!

I feel like a terrible person.

Do you know any people with views like this?

If you think its claims are false, you should reject them all (or at least find out if any are true). Get rid of ideas about heaven and hell and judgment and sin and Satan and a God who commits genocide and commands people to do likewise.

That is interesting. To me "liberals" look more like evil totalitarian fascists, and I would rather be in different place than them.

Jolly good. You do realise there are many liberals on RF?

BTE, The american right idea of liberal does not match that of the rest of the world

Your wish is much like that of Iain M Banks series of Culture novels but without a creator.

"The Culture series is a science fiction series written by Scottish author Iain M. Banks. The stories centre on the Culture, a utopian, post-scarcity space society of humanoids, aliens, and very advanced artificial intelligences living in socialisthabitats spread across the Milky Way galaxy. The main theme of the novels is the dilemmas that an idealistic hyperpower faces in dealing with civilizations that do not share its ideals, and whose behaviour it sometimes finds repulsive."

I would consider "Excession" closest to my dream but it does have a (very) dark side

I believe I have met a few on RF but they would not usually avow Jesus.

I believe that is blasphemy to attribute sin to God. You should be able to recognize that God wishes you to be free from sin but does not want to force that upon you. The whole idea of the Kingdom of God is that you can have the world without sin and not have to die every 70 years.

I believe that would be nice if everyone would cooperate but the reality is they won't and they have to go somewhere and Hell is a convenient prison.

I believe "libersl" as in you can do whatever you want is directly opposite of Christianity where you are only able to do what God wants.
