I tried really hard to understand christianity. The conclusion I got is that christianity alone doesn't stand on it's own feet. Christianity needs other religions in order to make sense. I think burning the witches is disgusting. It's high time christianity embrace pagan religions (especially dharmic), in my opinion. When christianity stops saying it's the only ''truth'', the world will be a better place.

I think religion is more about dealing with feelings and the unconscious mind than it is about "truth". Since we have very little direct control over either, religion is a mechanism which allows some external control over how we feel and provides a framework for our unconscious mind.

I wonder that as we find ourselves looking to new beliefs, whether it's because our unconscious mind is getting a bit unruly within it's previous framework.

¨ I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father but by Me¨

There is the truth, it cannot be any clearer.

You don´t like it, sorry. Your dislike changes the truth not one whit.
I'm a polytheist. Jesus leads to just one God. There are other plenty Gods. Shouldn't we worship all Gods?

Proper religions are omnipresent and last in time. The ''new beliefs'' are actually everlasting beliefs. Our mind wants to find the everlasting beliefs. So true religions serve the mind. :)

(christianity doesn't hold everlasting beliefs, in my opinion)

Or maybe if people gave up Pagan beliefs, the world would be a better place. Who knows?

There is only one God, all alleged others are illusory, or counterfeit.

1 Corinthians 10-12

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11 My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.”

And that is how christianity negates all other religions. :(
You have every right to worship as many gods as you choose. You can worship a fence post if you want.
Christianity is about free will and choice.

Christ said to tell the good news to whomever will listen, if they reject it, move on down the road.

We don´t negate other religions, we have the right view of them, thatś all.

Most importantly, we are told very clearly that we have no right to judge another´s soul, that is completely Gods right and is not our business.

I like your post. I hope it's the norm. We don't need religious wars between religions.

The fundamentals of Christianity have never changed. It is those fundamentals that define a Christian, not different modes of worship or when the tribulation will be in relation to the millenium.

In your quotation Paul is talking about following men, giving them some kind of power different from other men, sort of like Joseph Smith or Ellen White are given today.

Paul himself had a different view of things from the other Apostles, but they got it sorted out.

There is one true Church, the universal body of Christ, saved by his Grace, they are all in harmony and on the same page.

Might I suggest that you read G.K. Chesterton's The Everlasting Man? Chesterton, a Catholic, essentially argues not that pagan religions are all completely wrong and Christianity is completely right, but that Christianity is, in his view, the philosophical zenith of religion - the religious faith that explains the most about the human condition. Not trying to push my faith on you, but it might help you understand a bit better where we're coming from. We don't necessarily reject all pagan spirituality as completely invalid, we simply believe it's an imperfect and flawed reflection of true religion and spirituality, and that Christianity is a development and extension of earlier religions - not the only truth, but the fullest form of the truth.

"The Historical Jesus," by scholar Dr. Gary Habermas;
"New Evidence that Demands a Verdict," by former skeptic Josh McDowell;
"Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics," by Dr. Norman Geisler;
"The Case for Christ," by Lee Strobel," and
"The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus," by Dr. Gary Habermas.

I quite agree that 'Evidence that Demands a Verdict' and 'The Case for Christ' are worth reading (haven't read the others). They might help you to understand where Christian truth claims such as the belief in the resurrection of Christ come from, and that they aren't just beliefs asserted without evidence.

That is the same issue with many religions, it's an issue as I see it, of people feeling that they need to be "right", instead of be happy. Religions are all just different cultural paths to the same Truths. The issue, is the feeling and the experience of the religions, gets tempered and muddied by the dogma of men. Leave the dogma behind.

As they say in AA, "take what works, and leave the rest". What works for you, may not work for others.

You can't understand Christianity without the holy Spirit baptism.

Christianity never had an identity. If you noticed, it's actually a hodgepodge of numerous borrowed* theologies .

* More like highjacked theology that's been made into chop suey.

I hope it is the norm too.

Unfortunately, humanity at itś worst can ignorantly pervert beautiful teachings for itś own selfish purposes.

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunesa]">[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Actually the true vine is Dionysus. Jesus is just a copy of Dionysus.

Let's see your evidence for that.

As a wise man once said:

"They can't all be correct. But they sure can all be wrong...."

Years ago there were the Promise Keeper's rallies. The MC would often start off with asking the crowds in the football stadiums what their denomination was. A chorus of different responses indicated there were many. Then he asked them, "Who is your Savior?" The universal answer was "JESUS CHRIST"!!

Christianity has absorbed many superstitious beliefs and ritualistic practices. But had it not started with the Tantric-Mystic teachings of Yeshua the Nazarene, it would never have blossomed as a separate religious cult. So its origins stand on the shoulders of Tantra although it has lost much of its initial Tantric vitality.

It didn't exactly stand on its own feet. Instead, it was carried along by the blind faith of the followers.
The only reason the story of christianity is alive, is because its followers keep it alive.

Not exactly

What Does the Bible Say About Witches?

The bible unambigously calls for the death of sorceress, mediums, necromancers,... aka "witches" in plenty of places.

Why call death for all named above?Do you really know what a witch is?and what a witch really stands for?what the witches do and why? Do you know why people think they are of evil.Do you know why witches were forced to hide and meet in secrecy.
