Pro Life people, A Question For You

Pretending that it is possible to go back in time and affect any event you chose. In his fetal state would you let

hitler_2110666b.jpg

go full term and be born, or abort his birth?

I will do ya one better, and not only save Hitlers life, but avoid the holocaust and WW2 all together saving millions of lives on all sides.

If I could go back on time. I would go to the arts college Hitler applied to and was rejected and convince them to accept him as a student.

WW2 avoided all together.

Instead of a genocidal madman dictator, we would have had just another starving artist that worst case scenario would have committed suicide due to depression and self loathing.

But what if the events of WW2 somehow allowed for the circumstances under which your parents met, and thus aborting Hitler would cause you to have not existed, creating a paradox?

My life would be worth sacrificing to avoid the horrors of WW2. Even though I chose to not abort him.

I'd allow him to be born, and then have him promptly lobotomized. Afterwards, I would have adopted Adolf as my rescued pet.

but if you were never born, how were you able to go back in time to abort Hitler to begin with?

Not possible. An alternate timeline would be created. One where Hitler became an artist (according to my answer) avoiding WW2, and I was just never born.

Of course there is no predicting the butterfly effect from WW2 not happening.

Perhaps someone (a soldier) died in WW2 that had he lived would have spawned someone worse than Hitler. Thus in this alternate time we would currently be under the dictatorship of a 60 or 70 year old Mr.Smith who genocided 75% of the Muslims (which is a large portion of the earth's total pppulation). Could be the alternate timeline is worse.

Backwards time travel that does not create a grandfather paradox creates a causal loop. The Novikov self-consistency principle expresses one view on how backwards time travel would be possible without the generation of paradoxes,

Seth Lloyd and other researchers at MIT have proposed an expanded version of the Novikov principle, according to which probability bends to prevent paradoxes from occurring.

Since you took a political/abortion OP and turned it into a physics lesson, you should go to Washington DC and do the same thing to the Administration and Congress. I'd help pay for your travel there.

I would definitely let him go full term.
It’s not my business to condemn him, nor judge him.

But I think I would be happy with recommending an abortion to my mother after my conception.
