Allah knows when the month was named as Vaisakha. If something like 2-4,000 years ago, then because of the precession of equinox it may have moved away from that position (Moon near the star Vishakha, one month in nearly 2,000 years). However, the name of the month continues.
Vaisakha was not always in Vaisakha and would not remain in Vaisakha all the time. Seasons change. :)

Vesak in a Buddhist tradition is the celebration of Buddhas Birth, Enlightenment and Death that did happen on the same day (date) But today i think it is more as a tradition then knowing exactly what day in the year it happen. Personally did not take part in a physical celebration but use this day as reflextion and a day from even deeper meditation :)

Join the Buddhists whenever the chance arises. Religious days are for fun, happiness and reflection on life.
