After almost a month away from this forum, I choose to come back. After much thought and searching, I can't find a forum like this. But I probably won't be as active as I was last time. And I will mostly stick to the Dharma Dir but will from time to time respond to some other parts of the forum too :)

It seemed fitting. But seriously. Glad your back.:)
It is good to be back too.
One of the reasons i did leave in the first place, was that i needed to sort out where i was in life, so i have been on a meditation retreat alone for a few weeks, to see if this could give me clue to where my path lead me :) And the result look good so far.

I was just fine when you announced that you were too good for RF.

You chose to leave, and made a production out of doing so.

Why would I care that you were wrong about that? There's 7 billion other humans on the planet. Why would your presence be important more than the rest of us? I don't see it.

Feel free to start another thread about why you don't want to post here on RF and you're leaving.
Bye.

Tom.
I am glad you feel the way you do. It is totally normal to have your reaction toward someone who was as direct as i was in the message about leaving. So that your reaction is similar to when i come back is to me totally normal. I dont blame you for your view. And you know. Maybe your are right that i should not have done it in the first place, since i am here again. But i know my way is not always the right way, but i can live with that.

Glad you took your time to actually write to me, even you do not care if i am here or not :)

It's not just you.

The number of Christians who have stomped out of RF, because they aren't used to having the same rules applied to them, is huge.
It's why RF has an unusually large number of nontheist members. The staff doesn't play favorites. Religionists aren't used to that, religionists who are accustomed to privilege believe that they are being persecuted!

So,
tell me again. Why did you leave? Why did you start a thread about it?
Both why you dumped RF and why you wanted back?
Why would I care?

The reason i left was that i had difficulty with my own cultivation of buddha dhamma, so i needed time to get back to it in a deeper sense, But i did also leave because i did not find any interest in the forum anymore (at that time) due to a lot of negativity.
The reason i did start the tread before i left was because i did and i think still have may people in here i gained a lot from, and it would be strange to just log off and not say why. maybe i could do it differently, but that is in the past.
I dont ask you to care, in this case you was the one who started to answer my post :)

So the solution to why i left actually was to go on a long meditation retreat alone and i found the answers i needed and it just happend that today was the day i did come back to the forum,

Eh people go through phases. Sometime there's a bit of an overload of the senses and we say things we don't mean. I was a bit skeptical of the site at first as my mind took some adjustment to a new site with different member values, but I have to bow down to RF as I think it's pretty cool and fair.

Welcome back @Amanaki . We’re all on a journey and I’m really pleased to see your journey has brought you back to RF.:)

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I think a number are looking for sanction without realizing that topics and subjects of discussion also face opposition and negativity time to time. That's an aspect of Dharma as well, aka Bushido time. "O]

Of course, there are areas where one could go to avoid that if it gets too much.

Most everyone likes tea and coffee houses between battles. Pleasant conversation and exchange of thoughts and ideas.
