War As A Means Of Distraction

The sudden sabre rattling over Iran's activities seems ludicrous. People should understand that Iraq is close to half Shia Muslim. Precisely why that is any concern of America, I do not know. Between Iraq and Iran there is a large part of the world's oil. Greed, greed and more greed.
Americans seem to be pathologically incapable of facing the truth of their own greed, both as a collective nation and as individuals. And as a result, it just keeps running amok. Eventually, it will destroys us. But unfortunately, it will also destroy much of the rest of the world along the way.

That's exactly what they want you to think. Since 9-11 the USA has been set up as the boogeyman to the rest of the world. 9-11 was an inside job as well designed to drag America in all these wars. They control everything and just watching the news about American politics is designed to convince people that Americans are stupid/crazy. You have no idea who is really behind it all.

Ancient secret societies that currently rule the world from the shadows. However, they need a scapegoat.

You missed the point.

No one rules anything without our participation. It is our own greed that mixes with everyone else's and creates the poison that is killing everything it touches.

Exactly. Which is why they dumb down the populace and rule them through cleverly contrived propaganda narratives as well as obvious psychological operations. And it's not just America that is ruled this way but basically all democratic countries. They give you the right to vote because they control your opinions. That way you always vote the way they manipulate you to vote.

There is no "they". That is the point. WE are doing this stuff to ourselves, and to each other. There is no 'ruling class' without our support and participation.

You really think they're friendly enough to forgive us? I'm not so sure, since they already made their minds up that America is the great satan... They've got their theology wrapped around it now... as @Link pointed out.
We've nothing to lose, & everything to gain.
Besides, theology is a big problem on our side too.
As for our being the "Great Satan", alls we gotta do is stop being that.

Who are you really trying to convince? Because I know better.

I'm sure it was one sided. Basically, we give them a billion dollars and they stop building nuclear bombs for 7 or 8 years.

...I'm sure the figures are wrong, but that was the gist of the deal.
Is this a fair deal? I would say war is more expensive.

And you'd be right.. besides it was Iran's money.

Iran has needed nuclear power plants to expand their electrical grid since Eisenhower was in office. That was in the works under the Atoms for Peace program in the 1950s.

I know the Iranian Mullahs are notoriously corrupt and crazy, but they still need to revisit the issue objectively instead of all this horse manure about nuclear weapons.

Yemen is using Iranian drones to attack Saudi oil tankers.

Welcome to RF @Link. Couple of questions for you;
Is the Mahdi a kind of Muslim messiah?
Also, what countries are Gog and Magog?

The Mahdi is promised in Quran just not a way the haters of the chosen will see, despite it being the clear easy way to recite Quran, the enemies of God will blind themselves because they seek ambiguities and rely on unclarity. The believers see the clear proofs of the way of the past and understand God's planning for the future.

Gog is Satan's chosen companion, and Magog are Gog's followers, and US is definitely controlled and infiltrated in many levels by this shadow government and the speaking about this shadow government by Kennedy (may his soul rest in peace) was the reason he was assassinated.

You keep leaving Isa PBUH out. It will be the Mahadi and Isa PBUH who defeat the evil.

Jesus is the sign from the sky and will pray behind the Mahdi. Elyas is also going to come out in the open and Khidr. Jesus will emphasize the truth of the Ulil Amr And God’s grace on the family of Mohammad and will do so indirectly by saying that Allah made leaders among us and graced some above others. There is also hadiths that show the leader is already among us when Jesus comes and so Jesus will be there to support the Mahdi but the annulments of the deceptions and sorcery that will be the Mahdi and he hiddenly been working to bring about God’s wish for humanity. Victory lies in loving family of Mohammad for those who don’t see family of Mohammad in Quran will reject Isa when he testifies to the Mahdi. The Mahdi was foretold by Jesus and Moses and David And Mohammad.

Iran is not aligning itself with US interests. It is really that simple.

Nobody "needs" nuclear power. Is it more efficient? Yes, but that doesn't qualify it as a necessity.

Also, if they still need it, 70 years later, then I'd call B.S. on that, because they're not expanding and are clearly built up electrically.

But even if they were expanding, the common, modern thing to do is to go with renewables. Such as solar or wind.

Before you were born the US was training their nuclear techs.

The first article, written by cowriters, Mohammed Sahimi, and Pirouz Mojtahed (obvious Iranian apologists), admitted themselves that with the Natural gas and oil reserves that Iran ALREADY HAS, it would cost about the same as nuclear.

...Your second article states this:
  • The United States, Israel, Western European nations and most of Iran’s Arab neighbors, however have no room for doubt that the Iranians intend to develop nuclear technology in order to weaponize it and acquire the capability to deliver nuclear strikes if it should ever decide to do so. There is no doubt too that once Iran becomes a nuclear power they will command greater respect – if not greater trepidation -- from their Arab neighbors.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

At the risk of seeming reductionist and simplistic... Venezuela wasn't as easy a sell as was wanted, so the chickenhawks look to the perennial favourite; Iran. Trump's handlers know that the next election won't be a walk, and sitting wartime Presidents win elections. The calculus is simple, and it sure as **** won't be their family or money being spent and sent, so why not? Hell, what downside is there for them? Kill enough Midwesterners' and Southerners' kids, say "Freedom", and maybe work in a "Nineeleven" or two, and hell, you might win Trump his third term into the bargain. Or Jnr's or Ivanka's first.
