Isn't it obvious?

I am afraid you might not have understood my question:
How do you calculate that, after tariffs come into play resulting into paying twice as much for the same product as per your example, we also end up with workers being paid twice as much ? How do you calculate how much upward pressure on wages you end up with ?

The numbers weren't really part of the point I was making. Those were just hypothetical figures to serve as an example to answer the question, but not really part of the main point.

If you lowered taxes on corporations.

Eased restictions.

And provided incentives for companies to bring back manufacturing to the U.S.

Then stuff made in the U.S.A would be as affordable as China, and probably better quality!

Ease taxes on the middle class so that they have more money to spend and...

Voila progress!

Heck we might make a GoP out of you yet Lyndon!

delusional assessment, our wages are 10 times Chinas, hence if we made the same item it would cost 10 times as much, no ifs, ands and buts about it.

You mean a socialist worker get paid 10x less than a capitalist worker?

You'll be voting Trump in 2020 for sure!

I wonder how much of Trump's tax cuts are erased by Trump's tax increase.

>looks at paycheck< yeah my paycheck is higher because they took out less on taxes.

>looks at 2018 tax return< yeah I'm getting back less money on my reurn this year because they took out less taxes on my paycheck.

>happy<

No tax increase hoss, just tax cuts.

You mean his increase of tariffs on China?

Yes

But hey gotta brag about those income tax cuts. :p
did you realize your error? China does not pay those taxes, consumers do. And with so many goods coming from China almost all consumers will be hit by this.

Not an error.

Just don't buy cheap Chinese junk and you don't have to worry about it.

China's worry is not that we will start making those goods, the pay difference is far too great for that to be a problem, they are worried about being replaced by another country with very low wages.
