Question for all religions on here

In Zyesni-Tyetism, we do not believe in Demons, at least, as an entity. However, to be haunted by your own doubts, grudges, fears and addictions-- could certainly count as a proverbial demon. We believe that if you are struggling, you should definitely seek the guidance of friends and family, and do your best to face what ails you, and perhaps introspect yourself, and share positive feelings whenever possible. If needed, it is never shameful to seek professional help from people who can help you through emotionally hard times.

Do you believe you can be haunted by a demon?
James 4:7 . . .subject yourselves to God; but oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you.
Play with the demon, and they will torment you.

I believe if one is in an environment, or associated with people or places, or things involved with spiritism, they are open to demon attacks.
(Matthew 12:43-45) 43 “When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through waterless places in search of a resting-place and finds none. 44 Then it says, ‘I will go back to my house from which I moved,’ and on arriving, it finds the house unoccupied but swept clean and adorned. 45 Then it goes and takes along with it seven different spirits more wicked than itself, and after getting inside, they dwell there; and the final circumstances of that man become worse than the first. . . .

I think it is important to allow no room for Satan and his demons.

Absolutely. It's your own shadow screaming at you. Personal experience shows this to be true. What we deny in ourselves, we make terrifying to us, and until acknowledged, it will haunt you. For sure.

No. But you can be bothered by lower astral entities under certain circumstances.

Haunted like in poltergeist like stuff .And demon like in christianity.
Thank you for clearing that up for me . . .
My reply then is; all angels, demons, gods or devils are archetypal structures embedded deeply within one's unconscious mind. They can be brought into one's conscious mind through various forms of symbology. It is we who empower or take away power from them for they are parts of ourself.

There are no external spirits that can 'haunt' you, there are no Christian demons.

@Frank Goad Do you notice that all those saying No, have not provided you with any source for which they can say, "Assuredly, No"?
Why would I want to believe someone, just because they say, "No." Are they God, or truth?
On the other hand, we have reliable witnesses, both in the Bible, and outside of it.
Until those No-ers can provide a valid basis for saying No, other than "Absence of evidence", which really boils down to 'disbelief of evidence', all they are in effect doing is...

IMO.

NO there isn't any such thing as demons. As for a source or evidence, you cannot prove a negative so that won't work. Secondly, I'll use Occam's Razor and say that since there is very little, if any, actual evidence of demons (or angels, devils or gods) it more than likely that they don't objectively exist. They can of course subjectively exist for anyone who desires them to.

That said; my statement regarding archetypes comes from the Jungian school of psychology which I believe is a 'source' if nothing more.

Allow me to further pound this into the ground . . .

Do you believe you can be haunted by a demon?

"As to the question of evil spirits, demons and monsters, any references made to them in the Holy Books have symbolic meaning. What is currently known among the public is but sheer superstition."

"you cannot prove a negative"
Whatever does that have to do with demons? Who decides what a negative is? One can't decide that something is negative from a woeldview, and then say one can't prove it. That's the same as someone years ago saying, "Well I can't see, touch, feel, smell, nor taste (X). Therefore (X) is a negative, and I can't prove it. Is that how your system works? That would be wrong, wouldn't it? When man himself developes more understanding, and greater instruments, then he is able to gain more knowledge - including knowledge of things he is unaware of. Isn't that how it works, and has always worked - past, present, and most definitely will be future?

You've pulled up one experience to prove your view?
I can pull up millions to prove it wrong.
Man's understanding is limited, period.
So your answer No, does not get an official stamp

So sorry, to disappoint you.

However, I do appreciate, that you "put some meat on those bones". I feel quite sure Frank appreciates it too.
It makes so much difference than just saying, 'No', without any explanation on why No makes sense. Thank you. :)
I'm sure Frank was not interested in a survey, but interested in your views on this subject. He seems to be looking for answers that could help him - Yes or No doesn't do that.

By the way, it appears you are using a rubber mallet. :D

Just asking whether believe? Thats possible like ants ask each other whether they believe in Humans, or?

When looking in here, whether they see or not, it looks like a Demon is haunting well. 'Thought to give some tipps how to tread certain Demons: The demon and the Yakkha you should take care - Die Dämonen und Yakkhas

Another group, merely the result from haunting, are hungry ghosts, and here some stories about them and how to tread best: Offerings for hungry ghosts in Googleyana

If one likes to see this two kinds as mindstates or more material... up to the individual:

Asuras (asura Demons): The demons — "titans" — that dwell here are engaged in relentless conflict with each other. Cause of rebirth: Ten unwholesome actions (MN 41)

Hungry Shades/Ghosts (peta loka - poltergeister):
Ghosts and unhappy spirits wander hopelessly about this realm, searching in vain for sensual fulfillment.

Read Ajaan Lee's colorful description of this realm. Cause of rebirth:
Ten unwholesome actions (MN 41)

· Lack of virtue, holding to wrong views (AN 10.177)

You are obviously unaware of the concepts behind debate. The word 'negative' is used in trying to prove 'something' which cannot be found . . . like God. If I were to hide a yellow brick inside a room and ask several people to find it, and they connot, does that establish there is no such thing as a yellow brick? No, it doesn't.
