What is the case for anti paedobaptism?

I'm curious what would, to a reformist of early Christian, make paedobaptism evil. I don't buy consent as that's an enlightenment principle. The bible didn't establish paedobaptism to promote equality of age.
That quote did use some strong language to describe it. I would just say paedobaptism is unscriptural. As I argue in the debate, the word baptize in the first century literally meant "immerse." Therefore, everything the Bible says about being "baptized," by definition, is talking about being immersed. Sprinkling or pouring water wouldn't count any more than would drinking it.

In other words, paedobaptism isn't even baptism to begin with, at least not the way the Bible uses the term.

That's ridiculous.. Infant baptism is about the promise to raise the child a Christian or a naming ceremony or both.. There is NOTHING diabolical about it.

”Hold most firmly and never doubt that, not only adults with the use of reason but also children who either begin to live in the womb of their mothers and who die there or, already born from their mothers, pass from this world without the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, which is given in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, must be punished with the endless penalty of eternal fire. Even if they have no sin from their own actions, still, by their carnal conception and birth, they have contracted the damnation of Original Sin."

Michael Servetus called paedobaptism "...an invention of the devil, an infernal falsity for the destruction of all Christianity."
I was wondering what the emphasis is on.

I'd say he's full of crap. The emphasis against infant baptism is that people are not able to make a decision, like they are forced into the church. No, genius, you're forgetting about Grace. Baptism isn't about your choice to be a Christian. It's a gift. It's their gift for your soul, and it's God's gift to you. After baptism, you're saved. So what are you complaining about?

Baptism is NOT a mandate to be a Christian. It is a statement the you have the Mark of Jesus on your forehead, vs the Mark of the Beast. And no I'm not sure I agree with that Bishop quoted above me.
