Any famous Jains who eat meat?

I find it hard to believe that Hinduism wants you to be vegetarian when 60% of Hindus eat meat. I'm pretty sure an even higher percentage of Buddhists eat meat- Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, China and Japan are all Buddhist countries and they love to eat meat.

What about Jains?

Hinduism certainly has a strong bias for vegetarianism, which culminates into fullness in Jainism. What purpose will be served by my going into a research as to which Jain person is vegetarian and who is not.

I would be surprised to learn of any true Jainas eating meat products of any kind. Jainism is supersensitive to the issue of ahimsa and so vegetarianism comes naturally to them.

Shantanu, Ronki did not ask about 'true Jains', he asked about 'famous Jains'. If 'famous Jains' started talking about their non-vegetarian escapades, they won't remain 'famous Jains' any longer.

Plenty of Hindus have non-vegetrian tradition. And then, they do not all care that much. It is different with Jains.
