Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Can you see that the morality in the world is in a decline?

In terms of societal stability versus instability, I would think we are progressive for the most part if reading into history provides an indicator.

All morality translates to is just the ability for people in society to function harmoniously with one another.

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
Morality ties in closely with platonic love. As morality declines so to love. As it increases so to love.

Morality is on an individual basis though. I only hope the systems we have in place are able to keep people from doing obvious wrongs to others.

Generations come and go, and the process of morality changes. The more people do well in society the more they abide in civil behaviours. Its like the ebb and flow of waves on the ocean, everchanging. Some moral leaders are like lighthouses to the masses, and it takes morality to build a worthy ship.

Quality of life goes hand in hand with morality. When people perceive a better way they take it.

The evil ones prey on society, and dont give a one bit who they affect or why. I would like to think that evil is an anomaly that comes and goes. But to think it wont come and go is perhaps naive. Can it ever be totally eliminated? All you can do is create societal systems that counteract evil storms, and build a quality of life for all to desire, and realize that better way.

I did not say it is only now there has been lack of morality, But i thought since this is a religious forum that people would know what forms of morality religious people do strive to attain. And yes non belivers can have super high morality too, no problem with that.
But from a religious point of view i would say morality is declining. The wish i had with this threat was to gain insight to how people look at morality, But i understand i failed to find the answer
I think most people unbelievers and religious strive to be good humans. You just hear more about the bad ones now because of media. Look up actual, reliably sourced statistics if you want to know

Yes i see it become more and more, Norway has been a calm country, But now there is rape and murder almost every weekend, that did not happen 30 years ago
The risk of a human being dying by violence is less now than at any time in human history. Marital rape is now illegal in most of the world. Things are getting better.

It's been a while since I listened to this. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I don't want to derail the thread, but do you know Guthrie's 'Coming into Las Angeles'?
I only know those 2 songs: the MotorCycle Song and Alice's Restaurant. But I'll check it out.

1/ Greater equality between men and women
accompanied byproducts such as: Divorces, Fetal Deaths, Old age population etc. which are even more harmful.

2/ A recognition of the oneness of humanity regardless of race, religion (or worldview) and nationality
Its replaced with.. Rich vs Poor, Educated vs illiterate, Updated vs Outdated etc. which are even more harmful.

3/ Greater international cooperation
Than why each one is collecting more war materials.
In true terms, today's world is sitting on a RDX.

It almost certainly did happen, and probably at a higher rate, the difference is that now we talk about it.
