Why has there never been a documentary on Mohammad

Aupmanyav

Be your own guru
Meh. Upon further pondering, I've decided I could make better use of my time thinking about something else. Nevermind. :)
Like watching Star War?
That's so dumb and superstitious IMO. It's not like he's God.
Even Yahweh showed his hind parts to Moses, so what is wrong?
Questions. Would representation similar to that seen in Ben Hurr be acceptable? Would a off-screen reference such as the character talking or being talked to by a character not seen?
These prophets/sons/messemgers/manifestations/mahdis have already brought much suffering to the world. What purpose will be served by making films/documentaries on them?

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
Aww, poor OP. It sux when you contrive a really killer gotcha OP to pwn those mean libruls and Muslims, only to have righteous and glorious victory unfairly snatched away at the last second by, like, basic reality and a 5 second Google search.

I know. :(
Then they went and featured it for everyone to see, thus rubbing it in my face further.

A Muslim knows Muhammad is not God, just as a Baha'i knows neither were the Bab and Baha'u'llah. We also know we have no idea of their suffering at our hands and in no way can act as a Messenger of God.

Thus all we would be watching is an actor trying to be.........what.......like some may think Muhammad was?

Thus no pereon should would want to try.

Regards Tony
That is a very specific view. It has its own logic, but it can't in good faith expect to be accepted by everyone.

The same reason a Jewish movie director doesn't make movies portraying Moses, similarly Muslims do not portray the likeness of any prophetic figure, that could be misinterpreted or in some extreme cases worshiped.
Except that it goes way beyond that.

Okay, I'm done at 2:10 in.

...I want to watch an actor play the role of Mohammed. I want to watch how he approached villages... I want to watch how he lived.

Wont happen. There are hadiths that explicitly forbid depiction of Mohammad .(actually any living creature)

What would be the result? Think Charlie Hebdo

Ambiguity is such a boon for proselitism.

Muhammad is clearly not God, but even so it is somehow wrong to present him "as if he were" a real person.

That both is and is not the same as with Moses, the Bab and Bahauhllah.

Good thing Muslims are not like those filthy western imperialists, uh? And that there is no compulsion in religion...

But not everyone is a Muslim. So maybe non-Muslims want to see him represented as the war hero that he was. Using historical likelihoods.

Would be good to see, i agree, however its not worth the bullets and funeral expenses

..thus revealing the hidden agenda behind your apparently innocent enquiry.

Guilty as charged. :)

But honestly, I would like to see a visual of Mohammeds life. Not something apologetic or demeaning... Just accurate.

I want to know just who this guy *really* was.

You will never find Muhammad portrayed by an actor. This is also applicable to the Bab and Baha'u'llah.

It is out of respect for the messenger. No man can act as a Messenger of God.

Eum.... there have been plenty of movies with actors acting the role of Jesus. And he's not just a messenger, he's supposed to be god himself.

Are you saying they don't "respect" Jesus?
