God has to prove to me that He exists: what kind of proof should I demand?

Shantanu

Well-Known Member
God need NOT to give you any proof, neither you should demand. Because, you are already SURE that there's someone/something/God who has created all the things that you see all around you.

This SURETY is buried deep inside every human, But, human "Mind" needs proof.
Hence, all you need is to fight with your own "Mind" and teach him to not to ask for proofs :)
I demanded because I had experiences that I attributed to an invisible God and I therefore needed proof that I was dealing with the Supreme God of the universe.

A real God listens to His/Its subjects and communicates with them to solve the issues that are bothering them: I have had terrible issues of State-organised persecution visited upon me. And God told me exactly what to do and what not to do about it if I cared for my safety.
I'll have to take your word for the state-organized persecution. And since you say it, I accept that you think God helped you. But on all the evidence I don't think God, or gods, exist outside of human imagination, so in the end I give you credit for helping yourself.

Of course: I deserve all the credit because I am the entity who decided to surrender to God Consciousness and thereby derive the benefits accruing from the submission to withstand the State-organised persecution.

My search for the truth about Existence has come to this question?

Any ideas?

This is something you need to do for yourself. If you asked a professor to prove a concept to you, he may begin if you are sincere, but he will stop short, if he notices a self centered attitude of cynicism, that will not change. He may then suggest that you read materials, so you can prove it to yourself. If you are sincere, you will study. If you think others need to jump hoops for you, you will abort and not study and learn.

Picture God as a wise man and you wish to know his secrets. You need to approach him with caution and respect, or he will not help you. The command lines of the brain, needed to get the answers you desire, has to do with generating the proper chemical environment within the brain. Sincerity and humility, induce a certain combination of neurotransmitters, which align our memory grid a certain way.

When memory is created in the cerebral matter, emotional tags are added to the sensory contents, as it is written to the cerebral matter. These emotional tags have many useful purposes. One main purpose is the combination of sensory content, and emotional tagging, allows us to use both sides of the brain at the same time. The left brain analyzes the sensory content, while the right brain analyzes the emotional valance. This processing occurs at the same time, since each of out memories, has both attributes.

The emotional tagging also has other important uses. Another important use is the emotional tagging of the sensory content, allows our memory to be written as layers, with each layer connected to a specific emotional tag; chemical combination.

For example, if we are hungry, our memory narrows down to a memory layer associated with food, gathering, preparation and eating. This layer is distributed throughout the brain, allowing us to use the entire brain, while also coming to a focus, based the memory layer that is most conscious.

As an analogy, say we have a piece of white paper with red and blue dots. If we look at the paper with red sunglasses, we will see just the blue dots. The red glasses will make the red dots appear to disappear. The affect is similar, but uses emotional valance as the filters.

That being said, there are some special layers of memory, that you would need to induce, to get the answers you desire. You need to use certain command lines; emotional tagging combinations, to get the brain to focus on just those layers. The proper attitude toward God, is how nature allows consciousness to target key layers; specific neurotransmitter combo. Cynicism induces a much different layer.

Picture a perfect day, where you feel fine and the world appear beautiful. This is due to a certain memory layer and emotional valance that is being triggered; perception through rainbow colored glasses. It is not always easy to trigger this layer, on command, since the chemical combination is very complex. The faithful experience the rainbow glasses, which allow hidden layers to come into focus. Some prayers help narrow the focus.

Thanks a lot: that is illuminating. For me God helps those who help themselves is a useful adage/proverb. That is why when I am feeling persecuted by the State, I issue legal proceedings and also Blog my suffering as advised by God. This serves a useful purpose because I have to see the State's Consultant Psychiatrist on 28 June 2019 for an examination. Hopefully it will be for the long awaited medication review as all my enquiries have failed to get the desired response. There is a total silence maintained by the State authorities it would appear from this: Enquiry on the Progress of Appeal in the Court Proceedings.

Indeed of course, if you say so. That's your subjective view, and that's fair enough.

However, from where I am, it can't be an accurate statement about reality, not least because the word 'god' denotes nothing with objective existence.

I’m Glad to see this part is understood by you..I thought it may not be an easy assignment for me to explain.and it cannot be said better than the way you’ve put it..
It an amazing feeling..my wake up and see the world..I can not put into words..words cannot define its feeling..it’s things like; colours..for instance..The colour white; I see its colour is not its own colour..meaning it’s bunch in mixtures that make it white, and it does not define as a whole colour..it’s things like that and more I’m seeing of life in appreciate for all it gives..and for this! I do so appreciate your sharing of understanding in this. It makes me feel ‘not alone’..thank you.

There is nothing higher than truth: Truth is reality as it uncovers reality in no uncertain terms. To accommodate truth is the highest goal of man that protects because Truth is God and God is Truth.

I use what's called the 'correspondence' view of truth ─ a statement is true to the extent that it corresponds to / conforms with / accurately reflects objective reality.

What test for truth do you use?

That is a good question. My answer relates to my personal circumstances of having been persecuted by the UK State for 20 years through the manipulation of all its allies and internal judicial processes the sole purpose of which was to damage my reputation as a human being. So my test for truth in accordance with my religious practice of Satya-advaita or truth accommodation is to determine whether I have survived with my dignity in tact. And the blogpost that I referred to in post 245 confirms that my persecutors have been demolished and discarded as liars and deceivers. So I have survived to post this to you.

So something is true if it helps you win and false if it doesn't? Is that the test you use?

You may have heard the English saying Truth prevails, so yes. Similarly, the Indian State emblem is Satyamev Jayate meaning Long live truth or truth always wins. And Yato dharma tato jaya is the motto of the Supreme Court of India: where there is dharma there is victory. What is dharma: only the path of truth in truth accommodation (satya-advaita) is truly dharma for there in lies all duties and righteous actions.

Following truth in this way leads to the rest of the shloka from Mundaka Upanishad: satyamev jayate nana rtam, satyena patha vittoto devayana, yena akramanasya hepta kama, Yatra tat satasatasya parmamam nidhanam. Meaning Truth always wins not untruth, by truth seers living like gods attain the highest form of living and blissful existence. This is further described as satchitananda or Truth-Consciousness-Bliss.

That is the essence of Hinduism.

You need to focus more on the exercise that lead you to that experience.
The more you focus, the more you deserve your demands.

I was examining the mechanisms whereby the UK State utilises its allies, subjects and law enforcement agencies coordinated by a secretive Establishment to perpetrate inhuman persecution upon its own citizens; I have focussed on it enough: the rest is up to God to guide me to salvation.

The hole in the middle of that view is that there's no objective test for what is true.

The attractive thing about the correspondence view is that it gives an objective test. To find out whether any statement is true, you compare it to reality. In other words, there really is such a thing as truth.

The same can't be said of your view. For you, there are as many truths as people.

I don't mean there's any absolute truth; but I mean that using the correspondence definition, a great deal of any discourse can be sorted into sense / nonsense, accurate / inaccurate, honest / lying, meaningful / hot air.

Whereas if truth is whatever suits the individual for the time being, you can't do that.

I have clearly set out the truth that the UK State persecuted me over 20 years using its allies, subjects and law enfrorcement agencies. If you had followed the link in post 245 that I referred you to you would have noted this truth that has been uncovered through the process of satya-advaita, namely the nature of the persecution that was mounted on me to discredit and damage my reputation including here at Religious Forums by Moderator actions. What more objective tests do you need for ascertaining that?

Calm down. I haven't argued and am not arguing about whether that's true or not. I'm arguing about what test will determine whether any statement is true or not.

I'm therefore pointing out that your truth=what-I-like test is not helpful, not discriminating, whereas my truth=accuracy-with-facts gives an objective test for true or false, tends much more strongly to give the same result for each enquirer.

In my view the difference is important.

I am very calm, but your postings make no sense. Truth is not something that people or Reality gives it to you: you need to determine the truth through actions that probe. In this case: what happened to my thread: Does multiculturalism always lead to falsehoods, lies and deceit and is therefore always harmful?

There we must divorce on account of irreconcilable differences.
: you need to determine the truth through actions that probe.
Probe what, if not the question, what is true in reality?

I have no idea, but the range of possible falsehoods, lies and deceit is so vast that I'd expect to be surprised to find none at all. Let someone else assemble the necessary facts and present them for assessment by someone with the concern, nous and objectivity required.

You are entitled to your objective tests of truth whereas I have my own test that I feel is objective enough: It relies upon God to provide me with what is true and what is false, as the process of satya-advaita relates to an Enforcer of truth through the maxim Satyameva Jayate as I mentioned. I have no interest in arguing with you on that. However, I do take issue with your subsequent reply on my thread that I started for the reason that I received the following post in Site Feedback which should be clear for all to see as a deliberately persecutory act:
Shantanu,

Since this thread spiraled out of a current SF discussion we are having, I've temporarily moved it out of public forum. Quoting other members without their permission is technically a rule violation, but I'd rather we get the current matter settled for you instead of staking on more infractions. Please keep this in mind moving forward though!
