Can you give me a rundown off all your core beliefs? And how they match christianity? Also do new agers think it is necessary to do lucid dreaming and astral projection. And do new agers talk to spirit guides while doing astral projection? Can you read out of the christian bible and tell me where it says it's ok to do such things?

This is way too broad of a question to be answered without further clarification. What specifically do you mean by "new agers", with whom are you speaking? Lots of people have new age practices (pagans/wiccans), but wouldn't be considered new age.

'New age' in my understanding encompasses a wide variety of stuff, and mindsets, so it would be nigh impossible to get some definitive answer.

There is no one "new agers" belief as there is no one Christian belief. People have different ideas. here's mine.

Core belief - all rivers flow to the sea. Following any religious or non-relligious path may be just perfect for you.

The Bible contains truth but is not the truth. The statement of the two "greatest" commandments + the Sermon on the Mount + the "be ye perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect" is to me Truth.

It is to me not necessary to use lucid dreaming. Astral projection to me is not part of the spiritual path. "Spirit guides" are not beings with elevated consciousness beyond the astral. What is the central point is to work on living up to one's "highest" beliefs.

I don't know of any place in the Christian Bible where such things as astral projection etc are mentioned one way or the other.

I can only talk about my beliefs,we don't all believe in the exact same thing. Now,we all do believe that there is more spiritually then the bible says, my take on it, is the bible doesn't want people to know they have other ways to contact God.Everything that we believe in doing is a sin to the bible! such as astrology which is studied to let people know a little more in details about your being, to enhance your life.what is wrong with studying this didn't The Creator create the stars and planets? What is wrong with a medium contacting a deceased family member or friend to answer some questions,or to know their spirit is still with them. What's wrong with reading tarot cards to get answers from the spiritual realm especially something that helps us on a daily basis physically or spiritual, what makes that a sin.
It's to many beliefs to name, new agers are welcome to have their own knowledge of our higher Power,we aren't punished for not all doing the same thing or all believing in one set of rules to follow, new agers find that very important and likes a lot, it doesn't limit us,the Universe holds a lot of knowledge and signs etc.that we can study and learn and experience. We are created with a purpose, and I work towards knowing what that is,so I can do his will for me.It's a personnel journey!! we have our own.Yes some do astral projection, some don't . and we don't want to match Christianity!!not at all, well some might but most don't.an lucid dreaming is to be able to know that you dreaming that may have a lesson for you that you actually feel, see and etc.I've done this before, what is the sin in that?Like I said there are many ways to experience different things with new agers .

I read a German new age book entitled "Healing with the Christ force", which was all karma and chakras with Christ as the icing on the cake.

I think New Age is pretty much what you make of it with the trait that its authors make a living with it whereas in most religions the "knowledge" is given out for free. One big name in New Age was Doreen Virtue who published many books before she became an evangelical Christian. One of her New Age books was "Archangels and Ascended Masters", which is an encyclopedia of gods, angels and saints across all religions which a New Ager can worship, all with paying acknowledgement / lip-service to the Christian God as the highest entity. One can sell all sorts of mystical stuff as "New Age", like Hinduism, fairies, unicorns ... but I think with the Christian icing, these books sell better in Christian countries.

@Frank Goad - I would suggest you get in touch with some local spirituality centers. The main crossings I had with the New Age community was through that venue, and there are more of them out there than you might think. They are typically run by folks who have a Christian mindset, but not exactly what you would call "typical" and in that realm of "Christ consciousness" you talk about. I don't feel comfortable speaking on the behalf of those folks, especially since I haven't had contact with those communities in quite a few years now. I noticed many of them adopted non-cannon scriptures in their way of life - works from modern prophets so to speak - and were just more flexible on what they did in general.
