The Differences between EL and Elohim

We've all been lied to about the Hebrew language, as the people stating it literally can be shown to not understand it properly.
  • אל - El (H410) is applicable to the Source, and is singular for God.
  • אלהּ - Eloh (H433) is a Divine Being, the added H means manifest by the Source.
  • אלהים - Elohim (H430) is plural of Eloh, and means Divine Beings or gods; beings manifested by the Source.
Plural of EL is אלים - Elim (Gods), not Elohim; where there is no additional Strongs reference number for Elim, even tho there are multiple cases of it existing in Hebrew (Job 41:25, Psalms 29:1, Psalms 89:7, Isaiah 57:5, Daniel 11:36).

In Isaiah 46:9 we're told that EL is not like the Elohim, and 'to remember the days of old', which references Deuteronomy 32:7-9, where El Elyon is above the Elohim (Divine Council).

The Curse of Moses is because the Jews had rejected EL as the Source (Deuteronomy 32:18); whilst trying to make YHVH Elohim into EL, as they don't know the difference theologically.

Deuteronomy 32:18 Of the Rock who became your father, you are unmindful, and have forgotten God (EL) who gave you birth.

There is a Divine Council (Elohim) which surrounds the Source (EL), and outside of this reality, there are other realities possible with other Elim (Gods).

YHVH Elohim is the archangel who is Lord of Creation, and is a child of the Sources (Elim).

In my opinion. :innocent:

What the El is this?

El Paso is a city in west Texas, along the waters of the Rio Grande.

El filibusterismo, also known by its English alternative title The Reign of Greed, is the second novel written by Philippine national hero José Rizal.

Elvis Aaron Presley was an American singer and actor

El Salvador is a small Central American nation.

In Spanish EL means THE.

El comes from the Ugarit pantheon. Yahweh was one of 47 sons.

El comes from the Ugarit pantheon.
EL is a Semitic word meaning God; the Hebraic usage of it doesn't mean an individual deity, yet the Source...

This is why Moses prophesied their divine beings (their usage of gods) shall be a Snare unto you (Deuteronomy 7:16, Exodus 23:33), as people have become confused because of it.

In my opinion.

I know its Semitic.. so are Arabic, Amharic, Syriac and Aramaic...

Ugarit is a precursor of Hebrew .. called Northwest Semitic language.. Canaanite. Their scripts are much older and have been used to decipher the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The Book of Daniel comes from Ugarit.. It was originally a Canaanite poem from 1500 BC.

The Ugaritic Pantheon.

The prophets of the Old Testament rail against Baal, Asherah and various other gods on nearly every page.

The reason for this is simple to understand; the people of Israel worshipped these gods along with, and sometimes instead of, Yahweh, the God of Israel.

This Biblical denunciation of these Canaanite gods received a fresh face when the Ugaritic texts were discovered, for at Ugarit these were the very gods that were worshipped.

El was the chief god at Ugarit. Yet El is also the name of God used in many of the Psalms for Yahweh; or at least that has been the presupposition among pious Christians.

Yet when one reads these Psalms and the Ugaritic texts one sees that the very attributes for which Yahweh is acclaimed are the same for which El is acclaimed.

In fact, these Psalms were most likely originally Ugaritic or Canaanite hymns to El which were simply adopted by Israel, much like the American National Anthem was set to a beer hall tune by Francis Scott Key.

El is called the father of men, creator, and creator of the creation. These attributes are also granted Yahweh by the Old Testament.

Quartz Hill School of Theology

El was known as the supreme god of the Canaanites in the mythology of the ancient Near East.

He was the father of gods and men and the creator deity. He is sometimes depicted as a bull and known for his tremendous power and strength.

This stems from Rabbinic Judaism (since Babylonian Exile) not Christianity, they also believe that YHVH is EL; thus Christians follow the same idea...

Even tho repeatedly it tell us YHVH is an Elohim.

I don't see how.. Rabbinic Judaism is so much younger than the Ugarit cuneiform tablets by a couple thousand years.

Claro que si; hablo español.

Basically everything comes from The Source, The God Most High.

In my opinion. :innocent:

The Ugarit texts describe the ancient Canaanite pantheon of gods, and Elohim was the name of the pantheon.

El and his wife Asherah were at the top of the pantheon.

In the second tier was the other gods, who were the children of El and Asherah, like the storm and rain god Ba’al, the sea god Yamm and the god of death Mot.

You know me.
I don't really dig into this stuff.
What I know is Elohim is a word which preachers twists to make a senseless point
and their audience just accept without really understanding.

I won't try Semetic languages if they are dead languages
Latin is one, used to be popular but its dead
And I could only hear Latin in Supernatural TV Series
when the Winchesters would chant incantations.

That is why the Bible is translated into English so we people
won't go the trouble of confusing ourselves and other people.

Latin isn't a Semitic language.

To simplify... Elohim is just the ancient name for the Canaanite pantheon.

Rabbinic Judaism is so much younger than the Ugarit cuneiform tablets by a couple thousand years.
Ancient Hebrew is an earlier form of Phoenician mixed with hieroglyphics, whilst they were in Egypt...

This language has similar root sounds to other Semitic languages; yet has a pictographic system.

The Hebrew language kept evolving as we can see in the Bible, where after the Babylonian exile due to them having similar root sounds and beliefs, they changed certain theology...

Which is why by the time Yeshua came, and Malachi was written (Malachi 1:6-9) the Jews no longer recognized the father (EL), as they don't realize EL and Elohim are not the same thing (Isaiah 46:9).

Since the Pharisees are the parents of Rabbinic Judaism, and they still have YHVH as the Source (EL), and not an Elohim, they're still not getting realities theology...

Basically it is identical to Hinduism, where Brahman is the Source, and Brahma is the Creator...

Yahavah means Lord of Creation, and Brahma means Creator the same...

El Elyon means the God Most High, and is the same as Brahman.
Elohim was the name of the pantheon.
See this is the point there are similarities that only on a close examination of the Hebraic texts, do we see we're clearly being lied to in translation.

The Divine Council is declared in Psalms 82 the same; it is just confused by many because of removing key concepts that exist in reality...

When we recognize the Elohim/Pantheon/Avatars as being Archangels from our Source (which is beyond form), it makes it easier to analyze the texts...

Beings that are seen are Elohim (H430), and Beings beyond form are EL (H410).

You have it backwards. Hebrew evolved from the north coast Canaanites who became the Phoenicians.

Some of the Psalms and the Book of Daniel are borrowed from the much older Ugarit city state on the coast of Syria. Their clay tablets are a thousand years older than Abraham.

There was NO Rabbinic Judaism until the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD.

It was proven in the OP, if we check the Hebrew texts, and learn a bit of grammar as posted in the OP, we can see it.

The Strongs reference numbers are H3068 H430 YHVH Elohim, these have 1148 results in a copy of Esword Bible software with a KJV+ search.

In my opinion.
:innocent:

The word el (singular) is a standard term for "god" in Aramaic, paleo-Hebrew, and other related Semitic languages including Ugaritic.

The Canaanite pantheon of gods was known as 'ilhm, the Ugaritic equivalent to elohim.

For instance, in the Ugaritic Baal cycle we read of "seventy sons of Asherah". Each "son of god" was held to be the originating deity for a particular people. (KTU 2 1.4.VI.46)

That is a limited perspective, which also applies to your preterist view of prophecy; in Zechariah 11 the Curse (Deuteronomy 28) was placed because of the 3 foolish shepherds (Pharisees, Sadducees, and Levites) who rejected the Lord.

After the destruction where they eat each others flesh (Zechariah 11:9, Deuteronomy 28:53-55) at the 2nd temple destruction, the foolish shepherd (Zechariah 11:15-17) is Rabbinic Judaism...

Where they are a conglomeration of all 3 foolish shepherds - who are then removed at the coming of the Messianic Age (Ezekiel 34, Jeremiah 23:1-8).
