Good for them! I wish our government cared about it's people enough to do that. Or was competent enough to do most anything, honestly.

Yes, because an AR-15 is a good match against Hellfire missiles. That argument for guns is totally stupid. The US government has nukes. There's no way you could take the US military on in a domestic civilian uprising. Or the government of any developed nation, really. This isn't the 18th century where everyone has one-shot muzzle loading rifles that take forever to fire.

There would be less suicides if it were harder to get ahold of guns.
Somehow other Western nations that ban semi-autos haven't degenerated in such ways. We're actually further down the list of functioning democracies by experts. We're a corrupt, flawed democracy: These are the best democracies in the world — and the US barely makes the list
It's common sense because firearms are the probably the deadliest method of suicide. You're more likely to succeed in a suicide attempt by shooting yourself than by hanging, overdoses and so on.
