Was it any use for jesus to die for sins?

It is an interesting concept is it not?

Many years ago - being homosexual was a sin against man and god as was doing drugs punishable both spiritually and by societal laws
Well societal laws are changing - so what does that mean for the spiritual teachings?

How do you punish someone spiritually?
The laws of our society change when our society changes.

Why? Other than a possible stupidity?

1. it kills the already born. Usually extremely painfully to the point of torture.

2. sacrifice is always unecessary and pointless, since it's rooted in superstitious beliefs such as thinking that certain physical actions will yield a reaction from the supernatural. Just like prayer, such things demonstrably don't work.

So in short, it's pointless killing with a lot of pain for absolutely no valid reason from A to Z.
Whereas abortion at the very least is sometimes necessary.

Vegan? 'Cause that Big Mac you had for lunch didn't appear out of nowhere.

The point is justice, as well as instruction on life being sacred. If life is sacred no abortion. No war. No murder. You think that is pointless? You don't know that they don't work. You have no authority on the subject.

Whereas abortion at the very least is sometimes necessary.

Necessary?

Why do you believe in sin?
A person who does Not sin is one who does Not fall short.
Sin is: either or purpose or not, intentional or not, willfull or not.
We can try to avoid sinning on purpose, but we all fall short otherwise.
If you do Not believe in sin what do you call lying, stealing, murder, etc.___________

The laws of our society change when our society changes.
What I find that Scripture teaches as punishment or discipline as found at 1 Corinthians 5:7-13.
so, even when society changes the Bible remains the same.
Christians obey ' Caesar ' as long as men's laws do Not conflict - Acts of the Apostles 5:29.

Sin is use to make people feel guilty and control them.
If there were No laws in place then what kind of society would we have.
If a person is caught speeding and fined does he feel good about that.
Sure, No one calls a speeding ticket as committing sin against the motor-vehicle code.
Nevertheless, good laws keep people safe.
Jesus' New commandment of John 13:34-35 to 'have the same self-sacrificing love for others as Jesus has ' would keep everyone feeling safe.

I get it. You would rather believe in this none sense then do any critical thinking for yourself.
Ouch, how does doing Bible research mean doing No critical thinking ______________
I wonder if you ever researched a subject and came to a conclusion about it _______
Just because a person disagrees with what we can learn from the Bible does Not mean a person has Not done any critical thinking about it.

I don't believe in your god.
Right, I would Not expect an atheist to believe in my God.
Atheism is a religion in that it adheres to the dogmatic view that there is No God/god.
Since that can Not be proven, then atheism is the exercise of faith in the non-existence of God.

And yet, can apparantly only "forgive" people by bloodsacrificing a skapegoat.

Jesus died of his own free will, his God did Not force Jesus to do what he did.
What do you know of, that does Not die in order for something to live ________
If we stop eating we will die, something has to die in order for us to eat.

The issue raised in Eden was that Adam was created with human perfection.
When Adam broke God's Law he lost his healthy human perfection.
Adam passed down to us what he lost.
What we inherited from fallen father Adam we can Not undo.
We can Not stop sinning, thus we die.
We can Not resurrect oneself or another, so we need some who can resurrect us. Jesus can and will - Revelation 1:18

I find 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 stands, as it was written so it will be.
It means 1 Corinthians 5:7-13 stands in sharp contrast to the world.
Sure it is good to have an open mind, but just having an open mind does Not always mean having a sound mind.
Unlike animals, humans are morally responsible for their actions.

I wonder, then do you believe in murder, stealing etc. because a law against such crimes is meant to control.
I find control for the sake of safe-and-sound society.

You are confusing the religious concept of "sin", with societal order and laws.
They are not the same thing.

Saying that one doesn't buy into the concept of sin, does not make one a psychopathic anarchist.

I'll let you in on a little secret.
In christian theology, jesus is god.

He basicly sacrificed himself to himself, to save us from himself.

What do you know of, that does Not die in order for something to live ________
If we stop eating we will die, something has to die in order for us to eat.

Just some good ol' preaching

Vegan? 'Cause that Big Mac you had for lunch didn't appear out of nowhere.

That's just a childish reply that doesn't even deserve acknowledgement.

The point is justice

Punishing a scapegoat for the wrongdoings of others, is the exact opposite of justice...

, as well as instruction on life being sacred.

Nothing instructs how sacred life is, then a bloody execution?

If life is sacred no abortion. No war. No murder. You think that is pointless?

Blood sacrifice is pointless.

You don't know that they don't work. You have no authority on the subject.

No ritual that drowns in supernatural stuff has ever been demonstrated to work. Every single time they've been put to the test, they failed miserably.

Necessary?

Yes. Like my fiancee last month. We're trying to get pregnant again and it went wrong.
It was abortion or death.
