Revelation 20
Satan is roaming around...

Oh no, it's worse. Because...

2 Corinthians 4:4
satan is the deity of this world

That means, that, satan was put into power? What...?
It would have been better to just leave satan in his kingdom, it seems.

Do you read the bible? The bible makes the point that all humanity
is subjected to temptation and human nature (that animal part of
ourselves.) God allows this by giving us free will, to the intent that
each person can decide these issues for themselves. And this is
why Satan is allowed (the same process took place in heaven too.)
Human resolve is tested, and people can learn and grow if they
allow God to do a work in them.

There is consensus among historians and Christian theologians that Paul is the author of the First Epistle to the Corinthians (c. AD 53–54)

The Second Letter to the Corinthians was probably written from Macedonia about 57 AD.

Some believe Satan is presently bound and the kingdom is here. It is spiritual not physical.

(Har) Armageddon is the end of the world and happens after God looses Satan to deceive the nations. See Revelation 20.

The most likely case is that Revelation’s “Har” is Jerusalem.

Geographically, Jerusalem sits on top of a mountain. To get there from any direction one must go “up to Jerusalem” (2 Sam. 19:34; 1 Ki. 12:28; 2 Ki. 18:17; 2 Chron. 2:16; Ezra 1:3; 7:7; Zech. 14:17; Matt. 20:17, 18; Mark 10:32, 33; Luke 18:31; 19:28; John 2:13; 5:1; Acts 11:2; 15:2; 21:12, 15; 24:11; 25:9; Gal. 1:17, 18). Jerusalem is also called God’s “holy mountain” (Psa. 43:3) and the “chief among the mountains” (Isa. 2:2-3; also 14:13; Exod. 15:17; Joel 2:32; 3:16-17)

Just a note on scholars. In the Gospels they are symbolized by the scribes.
We have an Islamic "scholar" in Australia now. He poked fun at the Charlie
Hebdo and 911 as "comedy shows" that have nothing to do with Islam or any
Muslims.
He's a scholar. So Muslims listen to a Muslim scholar.
And Christians listen to a Christian scholar.
And Atheists and Skeptics listen to Atheist scholars.

I would pay no attention to any scribe, historian or theologian in relation to
the bible. You are supposed to read it for yourself and "work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling."

Are you saying that Paul didn't write 1st and 2nd Corinthians, or what?

And this says What about preterism? Since you "visually" claim to be able make an accurate conversion of sound symbols to Hebrew, try "NeRoN KaiSeR", his Latin title. Correctly converted via the Kabala, it will yield 666. There was a rumor Nero started the fire that destroyed Rome. In order to combat this he chose Christianity as a scapegoat because these cretins would not worship him. Using your enemies as human candles for your palace, as well as other tortures, does not elicit sympathy or understanding among your enemies.

You didn't explain how you square those verses. Aside from that, just the idea, makes no sense, as this would mean that satan is actually 'the deity of this world', in the context of worldly , who knows, salvation through works? A satanic theistic paradigm where you do works in the new kingdom of satan? Hey, it's your religion.

Satan has a kingdom, Luke 11:18

After the final battle, the kingdom of Hell is defeated entirely.
In other words, both occurences, the final battle, and, satan as deity of this world, or, in power with his kingdom, can't coincide.

Nero committed suicide (with help) in 68 AD.. and there was a school of thought that he would return from the dead to persecute Christians .. They were terrified of him. As nutty as it sounds the belief persisted up to the 5th century AD.

They believed that he would return with an army of Parthians from across the river.. The beast coming out of the abyss as it were.

I wonder it the fear was that Domitian was Nero reincarnated... and Domitian seems to have been especially cruel...

It just seems to me that the Jewish followers of Christ in the first century understood the symbolism very well even if we don't.

Yeah, guess you have lost me. I suppose that Satan IS a diety of this world, or at
least, the world treats him as one.
Salvation through works is fiercely problematic. Certain, there are things required
of people who seek salvation - let's call it "obedience" to the word of God.
About half of all sayings of Jesus involve this obedience, and half of what Paul
wrote is the same (about a thousand commandments actually.) Failure to obey
brings the rule of Satan into your life.
