Good Question

Isn't it?

So here's a question, according to christian theology, can one get into heaven while knowing about christianity and not being a christian?
Christianity is a way of life. There are two paths in life, the good and the bad. The good path is followed default by all people. It is God's path. All people follow God's path. But God obeyed Satan, his faithful angel, to tempt people to follow the bad path. So although all people follow god's path, they have the power to follow the evil path. This happens to all people. All people are good and they have the power to perform evil. An eskimo can become a murderer. A christian can become a murderer. We are all the same. An eskimo who hasn't heard of Jesus, so what? An eskimo can murder without knowing Jesus, so what? He followed the evil path. An eskimo who helps others, without knowing Jesus. So what? He follows the good path. The good path (God's path) is default for all people. The evil path is the exception.

You didn't actually answer my question. A simple "yes" or "no" would suffice.

The Inuits already knew the golden rule-- and their culture did a far better job obeying it than any christian based one you care to name...

So there's that.

This is way over generalized.

Its not about labels. God dont look at labels of christian or hindu or whatever. He looks at who obeys the golden rule.

Also to say christians have done a bad job, again, thats under an unbrella label. Theres about 2.19 billion "christians" in the world. But, are they all TRUELY christians ACORDING to Jesus? I know you dont believe in Jesus, but walk with me here for a second. Dont you think Jesus has a pretty big say on who are his true followers? Id think so.

What does it mean being a christian???

I think it's telling how you seem to be doing your best in dodging the question.
Let's make it even simpler then.

Hi, I'm an atheist and I am aware of the christian religion and I do not believe any of it. Can we agree that whatever it means to being a christian, that I'm most definatly not one?

Is it possible for me to get to heaven if I die this instant, if it turns out that the christian religion is true and accurate?

The question of God and sin are not congruent: one can be taught what Christ said or Bahaulluah said about sin but that could be very different from what God may think or even prescribe. As far as my knowledge is concerned, God never ever said that there are sins. How could He if He was the creator.

So, is being a christian a requirement to get to heaven or not?

I'm an atheist, aware of christianity and not a believer or follower.
Is it possible for me to get to heaven if I die this instant, according to christian theology?

There is no answer for that in theology.

The Eskimo could've easily ended up in hell even if the priest never told him about Christianity. The question ignores the doctrine of general revelation which is available to all and according to which the ignorant will be judged. Not hearing the message is not at all a free ticket to heaven (or an escape from hell as the question implies).

The priest has done the Eskimo a service because he now understands his position more clearly and has an opportunity to build a deeper relationship with God in his earthly life which enables him to do more good than he could have before since he now understands more about the divine plan for humanity.

Having mentioned the divine plan, the question ignores the fact that not all things need to be clear to us to be meaningful. God, as a perfect being, could make a command to spread his word to everyone without explaining the details of how such a task would be beneficial yet we would still be wise to do it for we can know that God, being perfect, would not do that which brings more harm than good.

The question fails to provide a good objection to Christianity.
