I'm on her "friends of AOC" email list, wanted to hear the official word in her own words so I could see the angles they were going for. Pretty good materiel so far, a billboard that is unfavourable to her is part of a "right wing conspiracy" and other gems. Will make a thread soon

I appreciate it's nice having a new and outspoken pollie who isn't yet crushed by the system, but the way people are treating her as some sort of second coming of FDR, Lincoln, and Ghandi is only going to lead to disapointment. You'd think people would have learned from Obama.
I wish her well, don't get me wrong, I'm just very aware that she hasn't really done anything beyond trigger the tribal right. Which, of course, is worthwhile, but let's not pretend she's some sort of avenging saviour sent by God to make all right with the world.
