Technology Foretold in the Bible

At minute 1:34 they quote "...prophet Daniel....many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase...." They make two other references in the vid something in Revelation about a world system of commerce and something about the gospel being preached throughout the world before the end.
All of these were done a long, long time ago. There was a world system of commerce multiple times. Knowledge greatly increased, then it flagged, then it increased, then it flagged. Also the gospel, according to Mark 16, was preached to all nations.

First of all I find Mark 16th chapter ends at verse 8.
After verse 8 there are No corresponding reference verses as there is with the rest of Mark.
Plus, the style of writing changes after verse 8.
Jerome and Eusebius both concluded the last chapter of Mark ends at verse 8.

The ' to and fro ' of Daniel 12:4 is talking about roving through, traveling through, the pages of Scripture.
At this time of the end of all badness on Earth people would criss-cross through the Scriptures.
For example: A comprehensive concordance today puts the Bible in ABC order for us to make it possible to help search or research though the pages of Scripture by using a topic or a subject arrangement.
'Modern Technology' has made rapid Bible translation possible to quickly speed up the 'traveling'. - Isaiah 60:22
Speed up the international proclaiming about God's kingdom of Daniel 2:44 as Jesus said at Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8.
Thus, with accelerating speed we are now at the 'final phase', so to speak, about what Jesus said would be done.
As it is written, so it actually is.

These people making this video are no different from what I can see from Tim Lahaye who sold many books but did no one any good, although he said that there would be a one-world government not merely a world system of commerce -- probably because he knew the above about there already being a world system of commerce for a long time. The people making the video are not holier than normal people or more deserving of trust.

Jesus did foretell that the good new message about God's kingdom government would be proclaimed world wide according to Matthew 24:14 and Acts of the Apostles 1:8. This is being done now on an international scale.
I would say the ' new technology ' of our day has helped make possible even rapid Bible translation so that people who live in remote areas of Earth can now have Scripture in their own mother tongue or native languages.

So is Islam, communism, kardashians, and lady gaga.

Okay, well what are those? If you say the mark on the hand and forehead are prophecies involving a one world government and electronic marking you don't really have a case. Prostitutes and labor unions in John's day were marked on the hand and forehead. That's where that comes from. It's talking about nationalism.

Where a person ' takes a stand ' ( figurative and literal ) his face / forehead is shown.
What a person signs his hand is shown. What a person holds in his hand is visible.
Taking a nationalistic side would expose as to where one stands.
Jesus and his 1st-century followers were ' neutral ' in world affairs.
So, their face and hands would Not have involvement even in the issues of the day between the Jews and Romans.

According to Job 26:7 the Earth hangs upon nothing.
When the people of the times looked at the night sky they saw the round, Not flat, moon, etc. hanging upon nothing.
Job 22:14 B has God walking in the orbit, the circuit of the heavens. Not a flat place but round like a ball.

Appreciate both your comments.

I don't think the Bible was meant to be a revelation of specific technologies. It is about revealing God, the Creator's interaction with humanity, and an unfolding purpose and plan. Nevertheless, the prophecies which were in reference to future events taking place on a global scale would appear to require the technologies we have now.
You're too reasonable to argue with.

The way it is written accomodates many different interpretations,
and of cpurse hindsight can find the "predictions" etc.

Of course, your quibbling totally avoids the point of
what I said, that "all the world" was (thought to
be) much much smaller than it actually is.
