Do you have questions ?

Depend on what way you want to look at what God is. In my study i have not found superior God that is a creator God, But that there are many Gods and many Buddhas.
The way i see the word God is similar to what Buddha means.

One who reach godhood is seen as a God similar to one who reach buddhahood is a buddha Buddha means enlighten one (enlighten being)

Is there a source God, as in the prime reality? The one which all others come forth?

That is a question i can not answer yes or no on :) But what i can say is in my cultivation and meditation i have not yet come across the answer to this question. Meaning i have not reached a wisdom level that give me the answer to this question.

Ok, fair enough.

I think there is a prime mover God, an ultimate source.

I do agree with you though that there are many gods.

Explain more to me on the enlightenment?

In my own words
Enlightenment is the "result" of doing the cultivation right, meaning that when following the teaching (in my case buddhism) the inner wisdom, or understanding why life is as it is and why we experience suffering in life. for a buddhist ending the suffering ( letting go of all human attachments like, greed, anger, jealosy, dispear, lying, and so on ) the inner wisdom rise and we see that we suffer because we cinging to life and how others treat us. Enlightenment is to see life as it actually is.and see that our human life is not the "real" life. but the spiritual life is the true life.

Again in my understanding :)
All religious paths lead toward what some call Paradise others call Nirvana and other again call heaven. The purpose of religion is to gain the understanding of how to get from being a human being to become higher beings (enlighten beings)
But when this paths was first thought they was called Cultivation paths and not religions, and the big difference is that religions are faith based where cultivation paths are result based where you see your own progress in becoming enlighten.
Some paths teach prayer as a way of gaing insight where other teach meditation practice. But both techniques are mean to lead to inner wisdom
Seems that Buddhism would be better suited for an introvert, where as Christianity would be better suited for an extrovert.

Buddhists look within and not out in to the world for answers, But we have compassion toward all living beings and by reaching enlightenment we can gain the wisdom to give others chance to reach enlightenment too (saved for lack of better words)

I have a difficult time accepting this, as the Buddhists I meet tend to be atheists. How is it that you are not one? The overview says that Therevada is about analysis. Did you become convinced of the gods through analysis?

I know tht many Buddhists do see them self as atheists, But it depend on wht you put in the word atheist. Is it that there are no creator God? or is it that there are no Other Gods or Buddhas then
Sakyamuni (historical buddha) Or is it that there is nothing after death?

Well I have no doubt that there are both Buddhas Gods or Daos in the existance, But the difference is that I have no proves for there being only One Creator God, and nothing else. Buddha Sakyamuni did not creat the cosmos. And he even spoke about other beings that seem to be beings in what we call heaven.

Yes Buddhism is analysis. We look at what we have in front of us "physical world" then we look at our experience in meditation "non physical world" and try to find answers to both worlds.

Nobody told me about this thread...Here's one question: would you consider the silent worship that Quakers use to find guidance from the Inner Light a form of mediation?or a form of prayer?Or both?

As a buddhist there is nothing to worship :) only the silence of mind and the deeper state of the 4 jhanas :)

I saw this tread now and i think it is the right time to answer questions that members maybe have toward me.
So if you are curiouse or maybe just want to know more about who i am and my belief feel free to ask :)

Hello, I am studying different theologies and was wondering your take on it. Do you believe in a god or gods? And who are they? How does your belief about 'god(s)' affect/impact your life? How does it affect your practical life? How you spend your time, your priorities, how you act? Many people don't consider to have any theology in life. I want to understand how what someone believes affects their life's in a practical way. Thank you.

There cant be a creator God in eternity alpha and omega, unless the universe was destroyed and created in a single great fiery moment like a great phoenix. Singular YHWH is more of the metabolism to the eternal universe, than a creator God.

1: I believe in one God :) can i for sure say there are not others? No, but i only keep my focus at one :)
2: God is the creator of everything
3: the spiritual aspect is always with me, it does not go away at any time of the day. So yes my day has its focus on the spiritual way of life.
4: a lot of my free time goes to study the teaching, thinking about it, practicing it in daily life. Using what i learn as a reliperson to be the best i can toward others.
