What is Sin in the Abraham Systems?

Is Sin anything that isn't covered by love?

Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.

Proverbs 17:9
He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.

without love things become divided?

Genesis 3:7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

That is the right question, but the suggestion is probably not. Also there are not similarities in regards to this question. You have to treat each religion separately, and some of them have different classes of sins. They are as different from each other as they are from Buddhist concepts of sin.

so in buddhism loving kindness, compassion doesn't stop suffering?

2. If one should desire to live in this world a hundred years, one should live performing Karma (righteous deeds). Thus thou mayest live; there is no other way. By doing this, Karma (the fruits of thy actions) will not defile thee.

or

  1. Doing verily2 works in this world one should wish to live a hundred years. Thus it is in thee and not otherwise than this; action cleaves not to a man. 3

Anything that goes against the command and wish of God is a sin.

Nobody knows the mind of God. Anyone pretending they do is delusional in my opinion. The mind of God is beyond human comprehension. Nobody knows "the command and wish of God". It is probably the height of human arrogance and probably man's greatest possible sin to pretend to speak for God. People often forget the people was translated and written by men. Nobody really knows the mind of God.

God and sin are more than just having obedience. God is perfect and complete just the way He is. God needs nothing from us. Satan, on the other hand, wants to be the one in authority and wants everyone to worship him as divine law. So I would argue, people obsessed with "obedience", are more aligned with Satan than God.

the will, or service, of love is either to self, or other as self, or to all as self. service to self = selfishness or service to the All(singular) in all(plural) as self.

I leave you in the love and the light of the Infinite Creator. Go forth, then, rejoicing in the power and the peace of the One Infinite Creator. Adonai.

Of course no body knows the mind of God and it is beyond human comprehension. OP asked a question about the Abrahamic system. In the Abrahamic system (or at least what I understand from Shia Islam) God sends his prophets and messengers to inform the people about His wishes and commands. Thus we know what God has commanded us through His messengers and disobeying those commands is a sin.

Far too broad a concept, for the question. Book of Galatians doesn't even call what we would call Judaism, 'Abrahamic', it calls it, basically, Mosaic.

Speaking of which, "Abraham" isn't even the name, in the nt text, the name is written

Abraam, [Abram, in other words.

Hey! Why don't we arbitrarily change the spelling of this name!
any excuse is better than
none.

1 Corinthians 13

They say the devil's water, it ain't so sweet
You don't have to drink right now
But you can dip your feet
Every once in a little while
You sit there in your heartache
Waiting on some beautiful boy to
To save you from your old ways
You play forgiveness
Watch it now, here he comes - when you were young - killers
