The Lie of Evolution and the Stupidity of Those Who Believe in It

The Lie of Evolution and the Stupidity of Those Who Believe It | Wisdom of God

Just couldn't resist talking about this. This is kind of silly.

For example...

Yet never have elements, nor molecules, nor dirt, nor rocks, nor even water made themselves form into living organisms

Evolution doesn't cover abiogenesis.

Meaning only one pair of a male and female of the kind “dog” was created, only one pair of a male and female of the kind “horse” was created, and from these parent kinds, came forth many varieties within their kinds.

Evolution isn't about a dog birthing a completely new breed. It is about a gradual change in each species. Depending on environment an external forces, some changes allow better chances for survival and just because they survive better and procreate more, that genetic trait becomes dominant in the species.

The big problem here IMO is these folks have a strawman idea idea of what evolution is and are stuck on attacking the strawman instead evolution.

Not to mention a poor knowledge of cladistics.

I like to remind people that inorganic substances are essential for life and without them life wouldn't even be around.

Even inorganic matter plays an essential and vital role within organic systems by which we evolve.

I happened to see the thread you are referencing (started by a particular user who shall not be named here), but that the user started it in a DIR - likely to not have to answer to anyone who disagreed very strongly with their opinion(s).

The point you made above, I feel, is the biggest giveaway that a person you might be debating has no idea what evolution encompasses at all. As soon as a person/source brings up the origins of life as a point about or against evolution, the entire discussion needs to go back to formula, because they have failed right out of the gate to display even a rudimentary understanding of what they are discussing.

The title of the thread, in and of itself, appears to me to be a violation of the rules, DIR or no DIR.

The big problem here IMO is these folks have a strawman idea idea of what evolution is and are stuck on attacking the strawman instead evolution.

They know evolution is proven beyond doubt and that they cannot attack it in any meaningful way but are unwilling to admit it because it pops their faith in god bubble so they build irrelevant straw men and throw sticks at it.

I consider this to be deliberate ignorance.

It's basically the title of of the link, I just shortened it a bit. :)

But I changed it anyways.

The "article" is nothing more than a series of zombie creationist talking points that have been shot down countless times before.

I think there's a positive note in that. Creationists have nothing new so all they can do is resurrect the same old BS and apparently hope that somewhere, some equally ignorant person will fall for it.

Sure, I just thought there might be someone about willing to defend the position since someone created a post about it. And, really hoping it might help someone still confused about evolution.

My read of the rules is that you may not call people "stupid" even if you hide behind the title of a link.

Oh, I'm sure there'll be someone willing to advocate young-earth creationism here.

And, really hoping it might help someone still confused about evolution.
Well, we have an entire sub-forum specifically for that subject and it's populated by some genuine experts. So I would hope any confused folks would start there.

life interconnected. A dog is an evolutionist at that level. One does not need science or teluguon to understand the self evident.

In the simplest terms, it's over their heads. They can't see anything but a figment of their imaginations as a placeholder, that big monster under the bed they dread, because they don't recognize it is entirely a creation of their own fears. No different then that five year old who has to have the lights turned on so they can sleep. Creationism is an attempt of their inner child to get mom and dad to turn the lights on and tell them everything is ok, that the monster they imagine isn't real at all. It's a creation born out of ignorance and fear.

Hey I know adults who like to sleep with the lights on.

You think you are being funny or clever but...

... Anyone studying the Langkawi bent-toed gecko or Pygmy three-toed sloth, the bamboo shark. These species and many more are being studied by scientists because they are evolving rapidly

If I watch one of those horror movies, like Paranormal Activity, my inner child rules the night too. Door open, lights on.... :)
I never watch those things. Winter driving is scary enough for me. But some couples also like to 'sleep' with the lights on.

Yes, at my age, I won't watch those anymore. I have enough inner demons without inviting others to populate my mind. Aslo, I've never quite gotten while they say, "they're sleeping together", when they are actually fully awake performing gymnastics. That's not really restful. :)

I think we should change it, "They're working out together". That's more accurate. Workouts with the lights on makes more sense too. One could sprain an ankle, or something else.

As a student of mathematics I have to point out a semantic error you made. Nothing in science is ever proven, and most people have a poor understanding of what a rigorous "proof" actually is. In fact, there is no such thing as a "proof" of anything in the physical world. But in any case, I agree with you overall. Of course there are mountains of evidence for evolution, and thus the need for creationist propaganda due to the fact that evolution so strongly conflicts with core Christian beliefs.
