It's not about a wall. It's about a President who won't compromise. He was offered much more money in a comprehensive immigration deal and he said no. He keeps saying his way or the highway. Well, it won't be his way.

Even the debate as framed by the fanatic right wing is "wall wall wall wall" as if a wall is a perfect answer to everything that's going on including drug smuggling which is vastly going through other channels now.

We keep hearing wall wall wall wall wall and not "let's sit down and come up with a rational immigration policy that includes balanced border security measures."

Well the wall wall wall wall has been answered by no no no no. Because the answer to a bully is not to give in no matter what.

I think you are the most dishonest person posting on these forums.

You probably only think that, just because I happen to have been parroting much of what the POTUS says in his Presidential tweets, which you simply refuse to believe. ...

I'm seriously considering the possibility you could be a Trump hater, I'm willing to give you the chance to prove yourself otherwise; I know nobody wants to be stigmatized as being a Trump hater. ...

I have nothing I need to prove to you.

Well we have heard from many sources that physical barriers do not work along the border. Given that, should the existing ones be torn down?
If your answer is No, explain your reasoning why
If you answer is Yes, explain your reason why
I am not aware of those sources, myself.

Then again, that is a fairly specialized field, so why would I know of them?

I voted "yes," but would qualify that with the proviso that the wall or fence is environmentally detrimental. If it isn't environmentally harmful, then perhaps there is no reason to remove it.

Wall is part of the policy. It’s not the be all end all.

Yes. Barriers between friendly countries is ridiculous.

I'd like to see an open border with Canuckistan.
It would save me time & fuel if I could cut thru it on my way to NE Americastan.
Alas, crossing is so difficult, I just don't do it.

I voted "no" as walls/fences/barriers in the right spot can be quite helpful.

BTW, I don;t know any Democrat that proposes tearing our walls down, but my guess is that those who get their "news" from Fox think they do.

Well we do have some that have expressed the idea that all physical barriers removed, at least on this forum. I'm sure that there are many out there that agree.
However, we do see that there are Democrats that disagree with Pelosi. Now since this is from Fox News I suspect you and other prejudice will pooh-pah this.
Hoyer says border walls 'obviously' work, rejects Pelosi's suggestion that barrier is 'immorality'

In addition do you agree or disagree with the following opinion piece. Again it's from you arch remissness so I think I know your and others answer.
Here's the terrible secret about why Democrats did a complete 180 on illegal immigration and border security

Most of our highways run East to West.
America's usually run North to South, right?
People talk about cutting through Canada a lot, and I've never really understood why.
I'm reasonably certain the reason that I listed above is why, though.

No our highways do not usually run just North to South
below is just the Interstate Highway System FYI even numbers run East-West , odd numbers run North-South and this also is for all highways....Federal-State-County.
