Trumps school food plan

This is something I wanted to put up for awhile. After seeing the unhealthy Mcdonalds meal he served the great Tigers and called it great American food I had to put it up.

I really don't care about him being fat, hes gained weight but hes a bad example for our children.

We have a system and problem with more children being obese in America then ever ever before. Mochelle Obama cleaned up our cafeteria system, with all the fast food places and cokes and sweets and candy and soda machines they had it was shocking.

So she comes along and cleans it up kids start eating healthier at school and more low fat foods and vegetables.Then Trump comes along and our schools ahve gone back to high fat fake frozen unhealthy foods because of Trump.

Obviously he cares little to nothing our Nations shocking child obesity problem. Shame on Trump, shame on Trump .............. its monstrous.

Because our President should be responsible for our children's diets...

Sorry, I'm not buying that fat people are fat because Trump had fast food purchased for a football team.

Put on your big boy pants and grow some responsibility for your offspring. My kids left home at a healthy weight because of the principles I instilled (and a hereditary high metabolism), not because I let Ronald, Wendy, Colonel Sanders, and the King be a role model.

No hes not responsible for them no ones saying that. But if hes choosing bad choices that encourage children to over eat and do the wrong thing, he is being a bad example. To tell the truth, a lot of those sick frozen foods and junk they serve, I think their dangerous.

I think some of our children has gotten sick because of it. So if he cared one iota he would do the right thing.

Sense your so defensive can you give me the happy positive reason he chose to put the poison back in our children's food?

People should not dictate to others what they can and cannot eat.

Presidents tend to be role models.
Trump is a slob amongst his other attributes.
he would look comfortable eating at a trough.

Depends on the diet they are raised on. Give something kids like in one country to kids in another... results may surprise you to quote all the ads.

Public tax dollars. Parents can give their kids whatever they want. If you haven't noticed, America has a serious fatness problem that coincides with low education problems.

People can learn to like most anything in the way of food.
We tend to like most what we learned to like as kids.
There is no question that most modern eating habits are unhealthy.
This is unlikely to change for the better on its own.
It is in everyones interest to change this situation.
People probably do need help to do this.
This will most likely need the involvement of Government and probably legislation.
For it to be effective.
It will not change on its own.

Just out of curiosity, how do you see what the governments involvement would be?

One thing that irks me to no end is the fact that school staff would have the audacity to rifle through children's lunches that their family provided and dictate to them what they can and cannot eat from them.

Most governments are already involved in Food quality matters, they could certainly tighten up on production and quality levels and the standard as applied to content.
This could equally apply to restaurant, retail and manufacturing.
As most habit forming takes place at school, Meals served at schools and what is able to be vended could better regulated to fall in line with good dietary guidelines.
Change in what we like to eat is going to be a long process. The position we find ourselves in now is largely down to advertising and the food production industry, and it has taken some two hundred years to arrive at this point.
It will take equally long to change it back to a healthy eating habit.
Our bad diets and taste are not through conscious free choice. They have been manipulated by the food industry.
It will take an equally powerful mechanism over several generations to reverse this.
We have grown to actually like our bad diets.
we can equally learn to like good diets

For instance, I have not eaten a burger for at least 20 years. The last one I had,was a big Mac. I could not finish it, as it was excessively fatty (for my taste).
I only eat fried food of any sort, once or twice a year.
