Is luke 16:19-31 a parable and literal?

The reason i think luke 16:19-31 is both literal and just a parable is because of matthew 13:24-29.And matthew 13:36-43.

How does this fit into daniel 12:2?

I'm not sure I agree (but no harm in believing it is). Usually parables have a different language to it like "It is like unto" or "Jesus said a parable".

Mostly because of "They that are dead shall rise first" - or coming from the dust.

I think it could be either but either way the points in it stand
If a parable, a parable points to an even stronger reality.

If you read matthew 13:24-29 and matthew 13:36-43.And then luke 16:19-31 does it sound different?Because when i read it like that.It sounds like a parable. And literal. At the same time:).

It is a parable, a metaphor.

Mostly about our rejection of God by persecution of God's Messengers and Prophets.
