If you pray hard enough can you get God to take you up in the spirit for a visit to heaven?I have always wanted this to happen.:)

Prayer seems to work for some people. Meditation seems to work for some people. Nothing seems guaranteed to work for anyone.

You meet God through Jesus Christ. And as you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you have met all of God that you need to meet.

Seems to me 'hard enough' is Not a criteria to visit Heaven, rather it's God's will for those resurrected ones.
Such as those who have that first or earlier resurrection to Heaven as per Revelation 20:6.
Also, Adam (mankind) was Not offered Heaven, but offered everlasting life on Earth.
So, mankind's destiny was Not to be Heaven but for humble meek people to inherit the Earth.
Because Adam broke God's Law is why death entered into the human family.
To undo enemy sin and death God sent heavenly Jesus to Earth for us - Revelation 1:18.
God made provision for those called to be Jesus' spiritual brothers ' such as those of Luke 22:28-30.
They are the only ones who have a resurrection from the dead to heavenly life to serve in Heaven.
Like Adam and Eve, the majority of people are offered 'everlasting life on Earth' when Jesus resurrects those dead.
That means God's will (His purpose) is Not for the majority of mankind to ever be in Heaven.
Who knows, after Jesus' 1,000-year reign over Earth, there might be some heavenly pictures sent to us !

The reason i want to be in the spirit through prayer is to meet God.
I think you are Not alone in wanting to meet God, but as Scripture teaches No man can see God and live.
- That is found at John 1:18; 1 John 4:12 and Exodus 33:20 if you care to look up those verses.
On the positive side, before Adam sinned he did have one-on-one conversations with his God.
That seems to indicate that after Jesus' 1,000-year reign over Earth ends that perfected mankind can do the same.
- 1 Corinthians 15:24-26.

Well Unveiled Artist.I think it would be like in 2 Corinthians 12:1-10.

The ' third ' Heaven that Paul saw was a preview or coming attraction of 2 Peter 3:13.
The ' first ' Heaven of 2 Peter 3:5 was the OLD governing heavens of Noah's Day.
The ' second ' Heaven of 2 Peter 3:7 is the governing powers of NOW meaning from Noah to our day.
Under Christ's heavenly rule over Earth is when Earth will become a beautiful paradisical Earth - 2 Corinthians 12:4
That is the righteous NEW heavens is what will make Earth a paradise as Eden originally was.
So, to me the ' third ' Heaven is the NEW paradisical heavens and Earth during Christ's 1,000-year reign over Earth.

You are a spirit.
You are a spirit within a human body.
When your body can no longer maintain life
your spirit(you)will eject from it.

They will bury or cremate your body
but you will not be in it.

No
you can not pray
your way to God.

God = Love

the fruit of the Spirit is love

That's one, but there are eight others:

"But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence)." --Galatians 5:22-23a (Amplified Bible)

I realize it's just an artifact of the English language, in which this verse was not originally written, but I've always thought it was cool that there are three one-syllable fruits, three two-syllable fruits, and three three-syllable fruits. It's kind of like a trinity of trinities, or a three-sided pyramid of sorts--and you can even arrange them in such a way that the three one-syllable fruits are kind of the foundation for the longer ones.

For instance, love kind of provides a foundation for kindness and gentleness, joy kind of provides a foundation for goodness and faithfulness, and peace kind of provides a foundation for patience and self-control.

I even made myself a little paper "Fruits Pyramid" as a visual representation of that.
