Salvation

I have a good amount of time and put some extra effort into this. So....

Ima try to be clear. It wont be short but Ill try...

From my experience it isn't a literal salvation (jesus doesn't pop into the 21st century and talk to people) but more changing your life by giving your sins to Christ (sacrificing your Self to follow Christ). You serve christ by serving others and in doing so, christ forgives you of your misdeeds.

You serve christ by serving others mathew 25:40-45
Christ forgives you for yuor misdeeds

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 | NIV For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

It is always about 1. Creator 2. People Christ is only an intermidiary (Jon 3:16 and the father is greater than I etc)

What happens is as a gentile, back then, the people killed jesus. When they killed him, jesus offered them to forgive them for they don't know what they've done. In that respect, a christian who is sorryful for the sins of their ancestors and ask forgiveness as a whole will receive pardon from christ and thereby the creator.

Christ forgave those who harmed him. This was not an isolated insident. Everyone sins throughout all generations. When you sin, you harm christ. Whatever you do to others, you do to christ.

So how you treat others is how you should treat christ and vis versa.

Salvation comes when one serves christ and forgives others in serve to the creator through Christ. Wharever one does for another, they do for Christ. When one harms another, they harm christ. The creator pardons believers who act in devotion to Christ by serving others.

Salvation (being pardoned unto resurrection through christ by god) Whatever you dof or christ, you do forothers. The creator pardons your sins by your repentence.

Salvation is three fold: it's ones life (following jesus by serving others and creator), ones sacrifice (repentence), and ones resurrection (being born again unto salvation)

Jesus life: His teachings (How you follow)
His crucifixion (Repentence. Galations 2:20. pretty much the whole bible)
His resurection (Salvation. Born again.)

Through his passion (for short) a person is saved. But it's only a gift when opened and followed via his passion.

Through his passion (above) you are saved

The gift he gave you is worthless unless you open it and use it.

Salvation is also an action. It's what you do for the creator and others so that one lives in christ, dies/crucified of self, and resurrected in christ.

Service to the creator
1 Corinthians 15:58
10 Bible verses about serving God - United Bible Societies
This is works.

I have been crucified in christ. The life I live is no longer my own. Insofar, I live no longer for myself but for the son of god.

Living in hispassion means 1.repentence 2. live for christ 3. unto salvation

Salvation has nothing to do with what you do, other than accepting the free gift of salvation, by grace ( the unmerited favor of God). The instant you say"you must do this for salvation" You give yourself some value in achieving salvation. None of us have any value, let alone any power to save ourselves.

So called works ( good deeds) are a result of salvation, not a method of achieving it.

It is not a gift unless you 1. open it 2. use it

Good deeds for christ is not wrong; and, through good deeds (the passion) you are saved.

What you do for others you do for christ. You are not saved just by putting the gift on the shelf. It is a packaged deal.

Read above.

I know exactly what you are speaking of. In Christian theology works are anything done to achieve or maintain salvation..

No. I write long posts so its best to take your time or just make a general comment without debate.

Interestingly, you left out the word faith, the key word of the Protestant reformation, sola fide.

I didnt. Read my post.

Christians have faith in christ, yes. Their faith means nothing without service to god. (James) and this is emphasied in every example in the bible. What you do. What christ does through you.

You are stuck on Catholic issues. Most fundies and JW are.

Works: 20 Top Bible Verses about Work - Encouraging Scripture

Albert Schweitzer, a physician, spent his entire life suffering in Africa to serve the tribes there. He read and quoted the Bible regularly, he stated numerous times that he modeled his life on Christs teachings, yet he was an atheist.

Yes. But he is not saved unless he has 1. Follow christ 2. reptence and faith. Through these things one does works (Above)

Works are not from self they are from god (above link)

You imply that good deeds are part of salvation , and without them, salvation doesn't exist.,

Simply not so. Salvation is by Faith alone. Nothing else has anything to do with it.,

I did not.

Excellent post.

I believe you have illuminated the basic ideal, message, and promise being offered to mankind by the story of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.
