stigmata in the bible

In galatians 6:17.Is it talking about stigmata?

No. It just means Paul had great devotion in christ that he "bared the marks" of salvation. It mirrors galations 2:20 where he says he has been crucified in christ. He no longer lives for himself but for the son of God. He wasn't literally crucified. He bore the marks of salvation by following Christ in his crucifixion.

As for stigmata, believers bare physical marks. Only jesus and his disciples who hung with him bare physical parks. Whether a person actually has stigmata or not is meaningless really. It means much to followers or belittled by others, but it by no means mean one is saved. It's how ones salvation manifest in the body.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
There's no question Catholics go crazy over this stuff. Unfortunately no stigmatic ever volunteered to be monitored 24/7 to verify the 'phenomena' is real in any way.

It's pretty safe to say that if anybody is Stigmatic you can pretty much elude that they are doing it to themselves artificially.

What is Stigmata?

Having been beaten, stoned and left for dead, received stripes on his back multiple times, he is probably talking about actual marks.

Yes, that's correct. He was talking about the marks of being persecuted for Christ, as the Amplified version makes clear:

"From now on let no person trouble me [by making it necessary for me to vindicate my apostolic authority and the divine truth of my Gospel], for I bear on my body the [brand] marks of the Lord Jesus [the wounds, scars, and other outward evidence of persecutions—these testify to His ownership of me]!"
