I'm tuning out polls more and more because I don't want to go on another roller-coaster of hope and fear. We'll soon see the results.

These days, polls tend to be accurate enough. What is missing is a public well enough informed to correctly interpret them.

They in general make assumptions about who is going to vote. 538 tries to take into account voter enthusiasm but even that is a rough measure and close races could be flipped on election day very easily especially if there are last second news stories.

If the TV networks were as liberal as people say they are, they would run an all day "Hee-Haw" marathon on election day.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
It's just like back in the 60s and 70s.

Youth has a lot of Dreams a lot of energy.

Look at how the youth turned out today.

Then you grow up and get realistic and wiser in the fact that life, always turns out a little differently than those dreams of change and reformation you once had.

One day they'll take the reins themselves for another round of trying to achieve the American Renaissance.

I'm pretty much on my way out of life and my wishes for the Youth is good luck with your collective ambitions.

I encourage all young people to make sure they get out and vote on Nov 7.
Wonder what games are going to be released on November 7th?

Let's see from VG 24/7....

  • Fluffy Horde (PC) – November 7
  • Kursk (PC, PS4, Xbox One) – November 7
  • Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?! (PC) – November 7
  • Steel Rats (PC, PS4, Xbox One) – November 7

Eh. Maybe a few will show up after all.

A huge turn out by young people would not guarantee a blue wave, but I think it would make one very likely.

I think the Democrats will win the midterms anyways although I'm going to do my part in hoping to prevent it .

It almost always seems, if not outright predictable, that an opposing president in office, during times of national controversy, midterms will typically reflect a shift along party lines that will counter the dominant party for the term.

Unfortunately, it also means more of the same ole partisan antics as it has been in the past.

Filibusters , vetos, along with all the other snubbery and political gridlock that comes along with it. The status quo lives on.

I'm actually surprised this country can still operate with its political wheels continually spinning in all the mud and dirt like this.

There's one thing for young people I'm hoping, is for them to see the two-party idiocy achieve full bloom and escape the Republican/Democrat pigeonhole all together.

Maybe a new party will form that would incorporate best of both worlds, and amputate away the worst.

Americans seem extremely susceptible to manipulation. Don't you love that little Aussie, Rupert "Fox News" Murdoch (forget the russians).
I watched american television news recently in LA, and could not believe the airheaded BS I was hearing and seeing.
Give me the BBC or ABC anyday for a far more balanced news and opinion of important world matters, instead of concentrating on who broke their fingernail in hollywood.
Americans are also lazy. Trump got in because your average joe blow couldn't be bothered getting off their sofa to vote.
Hopefully the mid terms will reflect a swing away from the kneejerk tweet diplomacy of the current republicans and bring the US back into the global fold.
Make America Great Again is a lost battle, China is rapidly taking that position in the 21st century.
As global wealth is redistributed lifting the curse of poverty from much of asia and now starting in Africa, bringing forth a new middle class, so of course, the Western world standard of living will dip in response after centuries of greedily sucking the blood out of the third world.
The trend world wide to right nationalism and numerous alpha male political leaders who have given themselves extended terms and powers, reminds me of the world of the 1930's, so please remember what happened in the 1940's
cheers
