Heh... I saw the thread but when I opened it there was no op...

I truly think that you have been able to be the first person that has ever time travled.

LOL.

I think I would buy an almanac of sports victories and place lavish bets on the events...

Time travel would be ****ed up. Upon travelling to the past or future, I think we would either be transformed into different selves through to some parallel universe or self-destruct. Think about it. It disrupts cause-effect. Travelling anywhere in time would change events, which very well may (most likely actually) change you in some way. Maybe even to the point to where the events you changed equal to you not being born at all. Although I leave the possibility open...I highly doubt that we will ever be capable of doing this. It's fun to think about though.

Well, since you've been removed from time by the "travel" bit, I don't think that you could be changed. I mean, if you're in the past and that is now your present, and what used to be your present is now your future, you're not there in the future anymore, you're here in the present, which was the past, so any changes you make to the past, which is now your present, wouldn't affect you in the future. See?

Whats up with this thread?

**edit** note, i didn't start it

Yah, I started it, and it was during the time when RF was experiencing all kinds of difficulties that Todd was so gracious to work out.

I wanted to see who believes time travel to be possible, and why or why not. I also wanted to see if anyone really wanted to time travel, where would they go or why. And I finally wanted to see if, assuming that time travel is possible, who would NOT want to travel through time.

I'm reading a pretty good book written by Fred Alan Wolf called The Yoga of Time Travel , and it impressed me to attempt starting the thread.

I actually wanted to see any serious discussion/debate on the possibilities of travelling through time and to see how the "Grandfather dilemma" can be fixed or addressed. This dilemma asks the question that if you went back in time, murdered your grandfather, would you cease to exist?

Let's have some fun with this discussion. : hamster :

Peace,
Mystic
