Banned Mormon Cartoon

They would hardly be "expert" on the topic. One would be better off following the work of serious biblical scholars that did not let their prejudices affect their interpretations.
There is only one correct interpretation of a given scripture, but there are thousands of false interpretations. The fact that every single true believer agrees on all the texts shows that there is universal agreement by people who never meet each other from every tribe and culture down the centuries going right back to the disciples of Christ.

There are two ways to interpret scripture, one is using human wisdom and human reasoning and the other is receiving the true meaning from the Holy Spirit. The Bible says that only those who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit can understand Holy Scripture correctly. So I'm not sure what kind of prejudice you are referring to, but I would look for hard evidence that those whom you describe as "serious bible scholars" are baring the fruits of the Spirit.

Correctly deciphering Gods Word has nothing to do with the level of intelligence or IQ and it doesn't matter how educated a person is or how many qualifications and awards they have. Gods Word is a spiritual message and it can only be spiritually interpreted, so only those who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit can understand the true message. The rest may sound very reasonable and logical but they are fundamentally flawed.

No, that is only a self-serving interpretation of the Bible. But I am fairly sure that if someone claims that God is a liar that he cannot be interpreting the Bible correctly, right?
You don't need to be only fairly sure that those who claim that God is a liar, you can be 100% sure that they have falsely interpreted the Bible. Can you give me an example of how they came to believe that God lied. I'm trying to understand how anyone could possibly come to such a ludicrous conclusion.

I wouldn't even know where to start, and I don't have enough years left in my life to cover it all.
OK, I get it, you're lead by your emotions so if you hear something that challenges you and causes you to get out of your comfort zone you reject it.

The Bible says that the Gospel is offensive to sinners, they reject it because it shines the light of truth on their sin and they don't want anyone to expose their sin. They gravitate to darkness, because the light exposes their sin so they keep away from the light.

Everyone has been appointed a date when they will stand before God to be judged, so we shouldn't deal with our sins now while we have the opportunity to repent. Nobody knows their date of judgement so we should take action while we have the opportunity. We don't want to die in our sins, because that would be the worst possible scenario. Eternity is a long time, so we should make sure we spend it in paradise and not hell.

That is a perversion of what the Bible says about Scripture, the Bible says that the Word of God is foolishness to those who are perishing. The Holy Scriptures communicate a spiritual message, and the Bible says that spiritual things can only be discerned spiritually.

The Holy Scriptures were recorded for Gods elect only, it's Gods message to His people. they are deliberately written in such a way that only those who have the Holy Spirit indwelling them will be able to understand them. The rest will go to their graves never understanding them at all.

You have obviously been deceived by the powers of darkness, because no true believer would twist the truth 180 degrees as you have above.

What are you on about? Perversions, holy capitalized scriptures and things that can only be known spiritually?

The bible is a ridiculous collection of stories written by people like 2000 years ago. They didn't go to harvard and would get fired from mcdonalds because we didnt have toilets and electricity back then and they are products of their time. How are you a product of this time? The powers of darkness? What does batman even have to do with this discussion and how are you a product of these times?

How could anyone twist their own personal understanding of books written thousands of years ago by the children of people just discovering consciousness to something you disagree with?

There are good parts of the bible. Job isn't one of them. Psalms is interesting and revelations is just ridiculous... I grew up religious and was pretty hardcore into that ****... I didn't want a haircut in case I had to fight a lion... Nazirites, Nephites and Bears oh My. Spoiler alert: Santa is also not real. If you have point to make at least be nice and have some facts. You sound like a raving lunatic. (I would definitely kick you out my 7/11 but you can keep your slushy on the house.)

They said that Jewishness is just a religion and not a race of people.
They said there was no King David
They said camels were not domesticated in Abraham's day
They said there was no Jerusalem as an administrative, cultic center.
etc.
Equating God with Santa is a false analogy.

How does anything you said end with your conclusion. Could you share your work?

No. See, the joke there is that your erroneous assumptions are too numerous to be accurately compiled and refuted within the average human lifespan.

I know some of what is said here is true of the faith, but is all of it pretty much on point?

If not, what has it got wrong?

.
I got up to the part of the video claiming that we believe that God the Father had sex with Mary and had to stop.

That idea is very offensive to me.

That was about 3:17 minutes in.

Out of those first three minutes I'd say about 2% of the information is accurate.

Okay, equating God with Santa.
If you went to the North Pole and found some archaeological evidence
for a Santa workshop you might begin to think there's another layer to
the Santa story. But you wouldn't go looking.
At the moment archaeologists are digging at Beth Shemesh, one of
the biblical cities taken by Joshua. It is one of half a dozen sites which
are being excavated. We are finding the towns, villages, cities, Kings
and the culture of the biblical land you read in Joshua, Judges, Kings.

So comparing the bible to Santa is false equivalency.

I think a better analogy would be the Wizard of Oz, then.

We could confirm that Kansas exists and has a history of tornadoes. We could even confirm that many young girls in Kansas have small dogs.

Yes, there's a retreat in the argument.
We now find a story based upon a real location.
But the bible went beyond locations to real Dorothy's.
ie Isaiah, Hezekiah, House of David, Pontius Pilot etc..

It was claimed that the OT was written after the
Babylonian Captivity. All events a thousand years
before that were made up. But archaeology has slowly
filled in many details of the Bronze Age culture that
no Babylonian Jewish scribe could have know about had
he not had access to previous documents.

And the Wizard of Oz had no idea of things yet to come
like the bible did with the Messiah and the nation of
Israel.
