Paths and God

Which is the more important, the path to god, or god?

Which is the more important, from where a person comes, or their love?

allahu akbar

6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

8 Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.

9 And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.

10 I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

11 Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.

Path to god.

I dont see a need for a planned destination; because, our destination eventually leads to death. In that light, from experience, its better for me to have an intent not a goal.

That, and there is no journey to god. Ideally, god is already there just the journey is moving your own two feet not wating for him to do it for you.

telling that you see god as a destination

going with god is not necessarily like going to god. if god is omnipresent, then isn't god present in all paths?

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

nirvanna is the cessation of suffering and desire, not of existence. once god is established there is nothing more to seek but the journey doesn't end.

Two birds are shown to dwell on the same tree as inseparable companions. One tastes the fruits in the tree while the other merely watches. The former represents the individual self and the latter the Supreme soul. The entire gamut of the bitter-sweet human experience in a jivatma’s life is represented by the bird that is involved in tasting the fruit. The onlooker, the Paramatma, represents the fact that the same jivatma can also view the experience as an outsider and not get affected by the joy and sorrow which are temporary experiences.

Two birds, beautiful of wings, close companions, cling to one common tree: of the two one eats the sweet fruit of that tree; the other eats not but watches his companion. The self is the bird that sits immersed on the common tree; but because he is not lord he is bewildered and has sorrow. But when he sees that other who is the Lord and the beloved, he knows that all is His greatness and his sorrow passes away from him. When, a seer, he sees the Golden-hued, the maker, the Lord, the Spirit who is the source of Brahman, then he becomes the knower and shakes from his wings sin and virtue; pure of all stains he reaches the supreme identity.

Matthew 23:13
“But woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You keep locking people out of the kingdom of heaven! For you neither enter nor permit those trying to enter to go in.

I meant there is no path to god. Idealy god is already there, you just have to walk for him to direct you.

Nibanna has nothing to do with god. Once all attachment is god, nothing exists. No rebirth. One dies.

Do you believe in rebirth?

the self dies the Self rises and lives forever.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Do you believe in rebirth?
some are drawn to rebirth, reincarnation, for selfish reasons.

some come to lift up and become lost in the labyrinth again, and some draw others out with them.

How does rebirth shame those who believe in it?

How does their belief make them lack compassion?

What is the connection?

with compassion comes enlightenment
with love comes light

Song of Solomon 8:7
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

its so cold out here in your wilderness.

Deut 32:10 KJV He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

I dont know if youre doing this on purpose; but your flow of conversation is confusing.

How is john, who believes in reincarnation, shames himself and lacks compassion?

john didn't write the song of solomon, nor did the quote from daniel come from a john. i used a quote from daniel. a quote from john, a quote from solomon.

those who do something for self gain don't get it.

those who do something selfless get it.

it's a paradox

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

again

1 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35-40 you loved other as self

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42-45 you didn't love other as self

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

the problem isn't rebirth. the problem is once the consciousness enters into the earthly plane, it can become lost in the labyrinth.. if it does, then it must reach a certain level to be harvestable. otherwise it must repeat the level in which it hasn't met the criteria for harvesting.

there are those who come in this plane from higher/lower planes, they don't make it out the first attempt. the lower move up because they have achieved the level of progression necessary for more work. the higher that descend, come trying to raise up other's as self.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

so if you're wondering how it all works in the balance of things, its simply the golden rule ma'at.

we are at the end of an age. the harvest has begun.

Revelation 14:15
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
