The Earth’s average surface temperature over the past century has risen about 1.5 F; the trend is continuing to be upward.
The sea level has risen about 0.06" per year since 1880. BUT since 1993 it is rising at twice that rate.
The UN were created at a saner time. Its current bizarry is a reflection of that of its members. The USA definitely included.

I expected the ignorant "That's not much" reply which was why I posted the sea level rises too. (which you chose to ignore)
The sea is rising because of global warming - I assume you'd connected the dots.
Places like The Florida Quays, The Maldives, Seychelles, Hawaii and other places with low lying land are already suffering and people are starting to leave as their homes are inundated. So 1.5F may not sound a lot but it is having significant affects on some places.
You can bury your head in the sand, put your fingers in your ears BUT it is happening.

Actually the water is an important issue for the future. The global warming trend has cause increased arid conditions around the globe on the borders of the arid dessert zones where the majority of the worlds cropland is located. Global food issues follow global water issues.

Yep, if you average out the temperature rise globally you can ignore the local effects. If one country becomes a desert, that's evened out by some other country becomming a swamp. Problem solved!

Most of the nations in the UN would be removed if held to the standards the UN proclaims. Every OIC nation due to the refusal to sign the UN declaration of Human Rights for example. US for it's actions and wars post WW2. China and Russia are obvious as well.

Anyone can boost an economy by hugely increasing debt; try bring debt down and still increase the economy - Obama did that. Trump hasn't even tried, despite promising to reduce debt.,

Deregulation and fair trade , record level of jobs...4 percent GDP growth under Trump...$ 1 trillion annual debt in last spending year during Bush era and early years of Obama...GOP needs 60 vote filibuster proof majority in Senate to bring federal spending under control....Not gonna happen this election year, but hopefully in 2020.

DEMs spend their years trying to reduce or control it.
GDP is important but only as a part of a raft of measurements.
The biggest threat at the moment is a collapse of the Chinese economy, that will have catastrophic consequences worldwide. Trump is trying to bring that about.

Unfortunately, the Senate failed to produce a spending plan towards balancing the budget, because a 60 vote filibuster proof majority in the Senate is needed to get anything done.
China will do just fine if they agree to follow fair trade practices and stop stealing intellectual property from America.

Putting budgets 10-years in advance is a fail safe because the chances of you being in charge in 10-years time are not good.
Filibustering is a US Hobby the GOP were experts at it under Obama, they should expect the same from the DEMs when the GOP are in charge.
