Dreams are given by God: Joseph's Dreams: Genesis 37:1-10

No. psyche can't tell the future precisely. A prophet however can tell a future precisely because God wants it so to confirm His message. Dreams, signs, miracles and etc. are only variance of the effect of foretelling.

In the end, it's more about pattern recognition. When you have God's message at hand, you will be able to see how a foretelling comes to pass repeatedly till the point when your double is gone. You can thus foretell repeatedly and precisely till you are persuaded that the message you are holding or your task at hand is from God. It's completely different from the psychic situation.

To the degree that one's attitudes and expectations guide one's choices, the psyche and its dreams can demonstrate knowledge of the future.

I haven't seen any prophecies come true that weren't written after the fact...in the Bible or elsewhere.

If this proves Peter is a stumbling block then the entire Christian religion could be argued to be the same.

Well, that would pretty much be true. The Universal "Christian" church, a daughter of Babylon the Great, is built on the testimony of the false prophet Paul and his false gospel of grace/cross, which argues that you "surely shall not die" (Genesis 3:3), the same message of Paul's father, the serpent/Satan, with a simple twist of wording. Paul's statement is that we shall be changed from corruptible to incorruptible, in a twinkling of an eye. But do not despair, for at the "end of the age", all "stumbling blocks" and those who commit lawlessness, will be gathered out and cast into the furnace of fire (Matthew 13:40-42). The "Christian" church would be described in Zechariah 11:7, as the "flock doomed to slaughter", with Peter (Zechariah 11:16-17) and Paul (Zechariah 11:10) as their shepherds.

When I interpret dreams, if I know the person, I help them try to find the trigger from the previous day...some small event that generated some seemingly little emotion that was. let's say, squealched...then it becomes the centerpiece of a dream that night.

What you eat can change your wakefulness and dream recall as well of course. But to reduce a dream to pizza is usually to miss an opportunity for self-knowledge.
LOL... I hope you didn't gloss over my statement of "I do believe God speaks in dreams".

My point was simply some aren't. I remember have gorged on chess and that night I dreamt that I was playing chess.

At the same time dreams, open visions and the like are very much a God moment.
