I have listened to many lectures on the topic and read articles, but no books.

To me it's an extremely complex situation, and I'm suspicious of anyone who thinks there are clear good guys and bad guys or easy solutions.

I don't really side with either.
But one you might benefit from is
The Case for Israel, by Alan Dershowitz.
