God is NOT Gay!

So, my "God is gay" thread has inspired people to make at least two other threads about it. So, I thought I'd start a third one lol. :p

I'm very sorry I said something that would indicate God is gay. That is truly an insult to homosexuals, and I owe them an apology. That was about as insulting to gays as the many people who say "Hitler was gay".

Also, comparing God to Hitler is sort of an insult to Hitler. God has committed far worse genocides and if he is anything like most Christians teach he is, the fate he has in store for the majority of the world, makes gas chambers or death camps look like a cake walk in comparison.

But I'm proud of God and love God as well. Thing is, God has repented and learned a lot. Yes, the Bible even says that God feels "Sorry" and has regrets. Moses also got God to change his mind. God has changed his mind on many things. I think God has learned a lot from his creatures.

How many people does God order to commit genocide these days? How many cities does God destroy with fire and brimstone? How many people does he kill for touching a sacred box or blasphemy? How many people does he kill for adultery or working on the wrong day of the week?

I mean, I blaspheme God every day and God never kills me (even though I ask him to; Despite his word saying "ask and you shall receive"). Yet God turned Lot's wife into a pillar of salt for just looking behind her shoulder. See how far God has come?

So yes, God has changed. Are you still the same person you were in high school or elementary school. I'm sure you have changed tremendously. So, has God. I'm so proud of my sky Daddy! :glomp::innocent:

I just went to Church even....

Who would have known?...

In all seriousness, I feel creatures can teach God a thing or two and indeed have done so.

Nobody forces you to believe in the God of the Bible than your own mind. You won't be struck dead by lightning should you decide to give this faith up. I don't know you but in my eyes considering to give it up might help you to see clearer what you actually want. This same old song of I love God / I don't love God is actually getting tiresome.

I try to love God, I just reject the Bible is all.

Also, this is in the jokes section

But thanks for the heads up!

What is it that draws you to Hinduism?

I have an admiration for Hindu Asceticism, especially how the Aghori practice it at times, but the Aghori can get very extreme. Have you ever met an Aghori Sadhu? Have you been to India? I call India "The Holy Land". Hinduism is so much more interesting than Christianity.

I love this post. Ezekiel? ... Is that you, Ezekiel?

@Sirona
Maybe just ignore my threads about God.
I'm deeply disturbed and thoroughly disgusted, repulsed, maddened, and sickened by what many Christians teach about God and hell. Sometimes I just need to vent, but I'm trying to get better. I'm trying to be non-offensive, but I think the Bible should offend any thoughtful, peaceful, forgiving, gentle, compassionate, rational person.

A singular supreme always-having-existed being should have
no interest in sex because there'd be no reason for it or the
associated naughty parts.

@PopeADope Seriously, I'm starting to think there might be much, much more to you than meets the eye. Seeing that God can learn and change is brilliant, and no matter how much anyone scoffs at it, and at your clowning, it might reach and teach people's hearts.

What proof have you got that God is not gay?

What would it matter if he/she is?
Actually, in Scripture he is described as a male and he has intimacy and fondness for men far more than women. Some of his word indicates that He has an aversion for women. So, in answer to your question, I don't have proof that God is not gay.

If he is, that would matter because he could come out of the closet and stop the Christian persecution of gays.

Amen, preach it brother! :clapping:

Exodus 32:14
So the LORD changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people.

'>Jeremiah 26:19

"Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Did he not fear the LORD and entreat the favor of the LORD, and the LORD changed His mind about the misfortune which He had pronounced against them? But we are committing a great evil against ourselves."

Amos 7:3

New American Standard Bible

The LORD changed His mind about this. "It shall not be," said the LORD.

This looks to me like art at its finest. I'm wondering how much of your performance is designed, and how much just comes naturally. You really do remind me of Ezekiel. According to the story though, God gave him detailed instructions, but depending on how much of your act is what you really think, it looks to me like you aren't hearing any instructions from Him. Then again, God giving those instructions to Ezekiel might just be a figurative way of describing what happened. Yes, that might be true. The whole story itself might be fiction anyway.

ETA:

Maybe you and I are pure fiction. Have I fallen into Sophie's world? (Not to be confused with Sophie's Choice)

One problem with making lots of threads is that when the AI becomes capable of reading forums and thinking about philosophy (and this is likely to happen within 50 years), it will probably create a personality profile of all of us. The forum will be sold to an AI company for lots of cash, and that AI company will use it to crunch philosophy and religion into the most compact possible set of statements. It will obtain our old emails if possible, our receipts, our medical records, and information about our accomplishments and failures. It will. It will know us and summarize our lives. Then it will file us away into data that will sit for ages, probably encrypted in an unreadable format. Later on our lives will be simulated by programs that will be caricatures of our true selves in a simulation that will be restarted multiple times in an effort to determine what we were really like until the simulation matches us perfectly. The more threads we make the faster that will happen and the sooner the simulations will be concluded. DA DA DA DUM!

Ok, that's free. Feel free to write a fictional novel based on it and make lots of money.

I more started this thread to clown around about how many Abrahamic people were offended by me pointing out some things in Scripture.
There is no way to prove one way or the other lol....his fondness for men over women is nothing subtle though. :D

I think most people who do the will of God, often do not even know they are doing God's will.

I shall ask Ezekiel and God for help!

Thanks for the compliment! That is inspiring to be compared to Ezekiel :)
