"We’ve Now Spent $77 MILLION On Trump’s Golf Trips"

"According to new reports, American tax payers have now spent a grand total of $77 million just for President Trump to go golfing while in office. These numbers are absolutely insane, and the fact that conservatives are silent about this issue when they berated Obama nonstop for occasionally golfing is even worse. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this."

That's 4 million dollars a month so Donald J. Trump can play golf at his golf clubs, and he gets to keep the profits.

That is of no interest to me. The americans deserve him. Most of them anyway.

But what is the source?

This is a good example that money flow is going from hard working Americans towards Trump, not v.v. as Trump likes to let us believe. Looks almost like a religion.

While I agree with the OP that it's outrageous, there IS a silver lining. The less time trump spends pretending to be president, the better off the country will be. So perhaps his golf habit is a blessing

You beat me to it. I would not mind spending a lot more keeping him golfing.

Golf helps keeps him healthy, which though it may seem ironic to you, is good for the country. I do not think it keeps him from making decisions. I do think it keeps him from reading, but I don't think he does much of that anyway. What I think is its better that he is healthy and in top mental condition.

I've often wondered why do presidents always play golf? Occasionally, you might see them bowling or roasting hot dogs - but only on the campaign trail to show that they're "one of the people." But most of the rest of their leisure time, they are always out there playing golf.

I don't begrudge them a little time off now and again. Regardless of the job, everyone needs to take a few days off here and there and indulge in some recreational activities. I recall that Clinton went out jogging with the Secret Service a few times, and John Quincy Adams used to go skinny dipping in the Potomac in the early morning.

Even a nice road trip can be a fun vacation, staying at Motel 6. Why don't we see presidents doing things like that? That's what regular people do on vacation.

Donald's mental condition has always been an illness. He needs to do more reading and golf less.
Physical exercise is good for mental health, but reading is tiring. Its first of all physically tiring but can be mentally tiring.

If only his top mental condition could get beyond that of a twelve year-old brat.

John Quincy: a very under-appreciated President. He was ahead of his time in many ways.

I kind of wondered that too. Why golf?
