Evidence FOR the Creation Theory

Lol, I do!

You know, I used to think that Creationists practiced a form of selective science--only seeking theories which supported their beliefs, etc. At the very least, I expected them to have something. That something may be misguided and ill-informed, certainly, but I never expected a complete absence of logical thought. Now that I've learned they don't try to back up their theories with any sort of science, at all whatsoever...well, to be completely honest I can't stop laughing.
Christians have no logic or theory as creationist. Their sole knowledge is based on the Genesis story and faith. When the creation myths from all over the world that predates the Hebrew story is point too, they state that the all creation stories were copied from Genesis.

Simply indoctrination, brainwashing and blind faith.

1congratulations, were you warned for the post i quoted?because i was warned for my rhetorical question..
2judging yourself is one thing, but i'd like to know on what grounds you judge which tests i've(not) been through?
-SHawN
1) The warnings I receive are between myself and the moderator that is warning me! Just kidding. Actually, I've probably been warned 7 or 8 times in all, and for my money, all but one of them was deserved. I get warned (as I should be) when I personalize an attack on someone during a reply. This always occurs when I am engaged in a debate with someone that attacks myself or others on moral issues. To be honest, I don't even mind the warnings, if they are warranted. I've even written posts that I know will result in a warning - if I feel the other person needs it.
As a consequence of my warnings, I do watch how I phrase replies much better now.
2) I have no idea what tests you have been through, and to be brutally honest, until I learn to respect you, I don't really care. My comment was intended to point out that the older one gets, the more tests of character they will have been subjected to. At the age of 47, I can assure you that I have not been "put to the test" nearly as often as someone that is 65. The truth is, each of us is tested every day, almost unceasingly. The test comes in the form of whether or not you gossip, whether you correct a cashier when she gives you back to much change, how you treat others, etc. For the most part, I feel well about each of those things, but I know that I fall short from time to time (hey, I'm human). Just like my comment about not really caring what tests you have faced - I would be a better person if I did care, but I'm being honest when I say that I don't, due to the fact that you have done nothing to earn my respect. I'm sure you probably feel the same about me, and that's okay, I can live with it. I'm not even offended, if in fact, it is true.
The truth is, there are a few (but not many) people on this earth that I admire greatly, there are a great many that I respect, some that I disrespect, and a few that I find beneath contempt. I constantly try to find ways to move people up that "ladder", but alas, for some, it is not meant to be. In my time on this board, I have only found one or two that are in that last category (and no, you are not in that last group).

Thanks,

The more I read the creationist posts on this board, the more I tend to think that's the case, Harold. Like Ceridwen, I used to think that creationists were cherry-picking which facts they paid attention to, but now -- after reading so many posts on this this board -- I am increasingly of the opinion that they don't even bother to cherry pick facts. Instead, the creationists seem content to repeat the same old same old falsehoods -- falsehoods usually based on a misunderstanding of the theory of evolution -- as if sheer repitition could make those falsehoods true.

It is set up that way on purpose. The idea is that if you know who is warning you, you might carry a grudge for that particular moderator. My initial reaction was the same as yours. After Rex explained his reasoning to me, I understood. You still have a course of redress, if you feel you have been warned wrongly. You can "appeal" your warning to Rex. For me, after I get over the initial feeling of anger, I think about what I wrote to cause the warning. So far, the moderators have been right to call me down for my posts. Only once did I disagree after thinking about it, but I didn't contest the warning - the odds are that I was probably still wrong, but too pigheaded to admit it to myself.

then why in my 20's could i not of possibly been through the test as often as someone that is 47?because i'm not you?360°?
I don't think you read my words correctly. I am making that very argument - that someone in their 20's has not had the life experience of a 47 year old - who, in turn, has not had the life experience of a 65 year old. Please re-read my post.

actually i respect everyone from hitler, the pope, spinkles, and even that damned bush character that heads my nation.even the next person that i have not met yet.you don't know what i have or haven't done in my lifetime, so i don't see how you can judge that i haven't earned respect.
While I do not respect Hitler, like you, I do accord respect to people I am meeting for the first time. After they begin to speak, they move themselves up or down that ladder. For what it is worth, your reference to "that damned bush character" shows that you don't particularly care for our President, and since I don't particularly care for him either, that moves you up the ladder in my eyes. See, we do agree on some things!

ok i missed the word 'not', so we disagree.age is a number.i know people in their 40's that i seriously consider myself wiser than, and they would agree.this isn't to say that i am beyond my years and have in some way surpassed everyone younger than the oldest person to acknowledge this to me, it is merely to say such circumstances are possible.i'm sure there are younger people than me that have been through more or are intellecual than i.

in my book(for what it's worth), someone's opinions earn a small amount of respect in contrast to their handling of themselves in day to day life.

Usually, when I have been warned, the moderator attached their name. When it was available, I apologized for my remarks. When it is not available, I would address my apology to Rex.

Without question, there are people that are wise beyond their years. We have some excellent examples of this here on Religious Forums. That said, EVERYONE has times when life kicks you in the teeth. It is the accumulation of these life experiences that are the "tests of character". No one can possibly experience life beyond their time here on earth, so, for me, I can never have been tested beyond what someone that is 20 (or more) years older than I.

Clearly, actions speak louder than words (much to the chagrin of politicians around the world). Unfortunately, on the internet - at sites such as this one - we are limited to glimpses of each others true character by the limited typewritten word. I like your book.

I have no idea what this is. It may be a typo that you did not intend to have in the post, or I may be slow on the draw, and simply don't get it, but I don't know what this means.

I apologize to anyone reading this thread. We seem to have drifted so far off topic, that I had to scroll back to the top of the page to see what the topic is.

Although it's difficult to tell exactly where I could be found on such a broad continuum, I would hope that in most peoples' opinions, I fall somewhere on the Pope side of Hitler.

That's no problem. Where did the information come from in our DNA? Someone had to put it there. It did not just automatically appear.

I'd like to throw in one more thought also, in rejection of the earth being old. Show me one piece of coal that does not have carbon 14 in it (this means it is less than 50,000 years old).

Actually, I pointed out in an earlier post in this thread that we do, in fact, agree on at least one subject - neither of us like George W. Bush. Unless, of course, you were being sarcastic.

No problem on the chat. To change your title, go to the Store pulldown menu at the top of the page, withdraw about 600 coins from the Bank. Then go to the UShop menu. Select the Change Title button, type in whatever title you wish to have appear, and voila! you are now the owner of your unique title.

When it comes to creationism isn't it possible that when God created the Universe it was created within the laws of science. It is shown in the bible that everything that was created was created with age. This could mean that while everything was created at a certain point, it would appear to have taken a certain path to get there (e.g. Evolution), without ever have taking that path.

That being said I don't believe in creation as the bible describes it. I do however believe that God created the Universe
