Your US midterm election predictions

Time to state your predictions on what will be the results of the upcoming U.S. midterm elections. Post your answers to the three questions below. In the event of multiple answers found to be correct after the election, the earliest one posted wins the bragging rights.

After the U.S. midterm elections:
#1 Which Party will control the U.S. House of Representatives, the Democrats or the Republicans?
#2 Which Party will control the U.S. Senate, the Democrats or the Republicans?
#3 Will U.S. Supreme Court nominee Kavanaugh have been confirmed?

#1: Democrats, their polling is rising and it's been consistently ahead.
#2: Narrowly held by the Republicans unless there's some kind of Mueller bombshell, the seats that are up are overwhelmingly in red states.
#3: Yes, almost definitely.

I predict that the results will depend on how people vote. My prediction is that whichever candidate in each race that gets the most votes will win that race.

So anyone who is eligible to vote, should do so.

I'm guessing hold on most seats, as that is the trend. Dems probably will gain a couple of house seats, but not as much as they want probably not enough to tip the balance in their favor. Republicans will hold Senate... No idea on #3, the time frame on that stuff is so random.

I predict some red states will turn blue: North Carolina and Virginia, and people will continue to ignore local elections and city council corruption.

Virginia is a blue state as of now (God help us). We have put two idiots in a row in charge of the state. I have met Tim Kaine in a non-political setting. That "DUH" look on his face is real....just sayin'. Unfortunately our state is controlled by the populous Northern Virginia-Tidewater-Richmond cabal that leaves most of us shaking our collective heads.

I predict it will generate lots of meaningless speculation and noise masquerading as actual news and that I will be thoroughly sick of the whole charade long before the elections actually happen.

I also predict much gloating, although it remains to be seen which side will be infused with insufferable levels of smugness.

My big prediction? The people on the losing side will complain about vote rigging. There are already some political observers who claim to see groundwork being layed for either delaying or invalidating the next election to avoid undesired outcomes.

Could you imagine if the Russians meddle in favor of Democrats? Maximum chaos.

Trump was laying the groundwork to call “rigged!” before he actually ended up being elected. I really wonder how that would have played out. I think we may find out how Republicans respond to losing in the midterms.

If a democrat president did half the stuff that Trump has done, republicans would be screaming "lock them up!" the entire time.
Another ironic thing is that, prior to his election victory, Trump and his fan club had stated that the electoral collage needs to go. Funny how that worked out.

Myself, Loviatar and Jayhawker Soule all correctly predicted Judge Kavanaugh would be confirmed to be a member of the Supreme Court.

To date no one, including the liberals among our forum members, has gone on record predicting that the Democrats would take control of the Senate. For myself that shows they realize it won’t happen.
