Yeah, but that's kind of the aftermath. What I think the cartoon is getting at is the unfairness of god giving fallible people an ability and then punishing them for failing to use it properly. Not really. They still had free will.
I wasn't aware god damned Judas to Hell for his betrayal, which, if the case, is grossly unfair.A more illogical part of the bible would be where God uses Judas as his instrument to aid in Jesus' crucifixion, which supposedly saves humanity, yet damns Judas to hell for carrying out the act needed to save humanity.
I find the Adam and Eve myth to be even more unfair. God creates man without the ability to understand the difference between right and wrong and then punishes them when they do wrong.Yeah, but that's kind of the aftermath. Worse yet, is visiting the punishment for their failure on all descendants to come.I find the Adam and Eve myth to be even more unfair. God creates man without the ability to understand the difference between right and wrong and then punishes them when they do wrong.
Go figure.

I'll go with mostly fair, yes. At least he killed everyone quickly with rain that literally inched it's way up your body giving you all the time in the world to contemplate your impending death by drowning (after watching neighbors, friends and loved ones succumb to panicked fatigue and drown nearby, of course). You know 'quick' in the cosmic sense like from God's POV.
Reminds me of the Awkward Moments Children's Bible.I'll go with mostly fair, yes. I really hope this is at my local library.
I highly doubt it, but you can get a look at some of the pages by Googling Awkward Moments Children's Bible in the Images function.I really hope this is at my local library.

And God punishes Eve for violating a command he only gave to Adam.I find the Adam and Eve myth to be even more unfair. God creates man without the ability to understand the difference between right and wrong and then punishes them when they do wrong.

Where does it say God damns Judas?

I recall doing the same myself. Jonah swallowed by a big fish and after a few days was spit out and lived to tell about it? A talking snake and a talking donkey? Yeah, it was pretty hard to swallow.Awkward Moments Children's Bible....hmmm. I'll have to check that out. When I was in a private Christian elementary school, the same student repeatedly asked the teacher on multiple occasions: "Are Bible stories real?" Even at age 6-7, he could already spot the bulls***.
